I'm a Canadian woman who has watched (and taken part in) many sports/music etc.. I love how competition inspires people to become their best, in no matter what field they participate. Humans, I believe, need this positive interaction to understand each other.

I've always had a problem with Americans when it comes to sports, etc. because of the "arrogance" not "confidence" with which, I perceive them to live by daily.

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. I have an aunt that changed her Canadian citizenship to American for her American fiance. She was my favourite aunt whether she was Canadian or American.

I googled American arrogance and came up with Clodel's article. I was so surprised and heartened that this article was written by a young American woman.

Americans and Canadians are not the same – we do have different cultures – but we are great neighbours and I'm grateful for that.
