Lindsay Lohan Grabs Fashion Contract, Neglects Community Service

Troubled former child-star Lindsay Lohan revealed on Saturday that she will be the new face of designer Philipp Plein’s new line. The notorious party girl appeared alongside Plein in Milan, Italy, wearing a sleek, tight black dress, according to uk.eonline.com.

Lohan, best know for her staring role in Mean Girls, has been struggling to regain her footing in the movie industry so a gig in the fashion world seems like a decent alternative while waiting for her next big break. Between busying herself at the New York fashion week and doing photo shoots in Milan, the starlet has yet to complete her court ordered community service, reports RadarOnline.com.

The 25-year-old actress was ordered 480 hours of community service and shoplifting awareness classes for her no contest plea in a misdemeanor theft case. Her next court date is on October 17 for a progress report hearing but so far, Lohan has only completed about 60 hours at the Downtown Women’t Center.

According to RadarOnline’s exclusive report, the Los Angeles judge ordered her to complete 380 hours at the Women’s Center and another 100 hours at the Los Angeles City Morgue. A source close to Lindsay’s crew has said that the starlet is being encouraged to work towards completing her hours as soon as possible, but that she ignores the advise.

“Lindsay’s rationale is that she has a year to complete the service, so she isn’t concerned about it right now.” Meanwhile, Lohan did not shy away from posing and answering questions about her collaboration with Plein in Italy this weekend. The designer praised the actress in his press release, saying “Lindsay is a beautiful, highly acclaimed actress and model.

We will be able to create unique images: Refined and luxurious but also full of sensuality.” On a more personal level, Lohan was accused of being a home wrecker by miamiherald.com after pictures were posted of her kissing hotelier Vikram Chatwal at his NYC home. Vikram Chatwel is married to Indian model Priya Sachdev, with whom he has a daughter.

However, the couple has been separated since the beginning of September this year. Lindsay has before shocked the press with scandalous relationships — most significantly through her on-off relationship with British DJ Samantha Ronson in 2008-09.
