Food Meets a Tropical Paradise at Sweet Sage Café

A vine covered door at the Sweet Sage Café leads to a quaint shop filled with colorful, dazzling gifts. Handmade jewelry, magnets, wind chimes, signs and more are sure to entice you. To the left, a baby shower is being held, to the right guests help themselves to fresh brewed coffee.

Couples, aging friends, and youthful parties sit admiring the hanging signs and charms that adorn the ceiling and walls in a small dining room. Outside, in the Garden of Eatin’, guests are treated to a tropical paradise. Bubbling fountains, beautiful flowers, and the salty sea air begin the diners experience.

The servers are quick, friendly, and always ready to make guests feel at home. The food is fresh, sometimes uniquely surprising, and presentation is top notch. If you have been seeking a beach nook, resort type get away with the added bonus of hole in the wall charm, and personality, look no further!

From pancakes and fruit served in martini glasses to huge sandwiches and delightful salads, Sweet Sage Café, won’t leave you hungry or disappointed. Guests can even bring their dogs, and the café takes it one step further for your pets. When seated, diners are given a surprisingly long doggie menu.

Pups can even celebrate special occasions at private pup parties. Kim, 42, seemed to shared her experience at the café. “I feel like I’m on a tropical island, but at the same time in my grandmothers kitchen,” she said as she dove into the quiche of the day. My eggs benedict arrived on a hot orange, tropical plate.

The eggs were fluffy, the hollandaise sauce was steaming and dripping down the sides of the perfectly toasted muffin and juicy, sweet ham. My guest dug into her triple stacked, cinnamon swirl French toast, topped with blueberries and bananas on request. “I feel so relaxed here,” she said through a mouthful of fresh squeezed tangerine juice and toast.

I cannot argue – Sweet Sage Café has a unique Zen feel. New age music mixes and soulful Frank Sinatra hits mix with the sounds of seagulls and song birds. The scents of sweet syrup and Florida’s hibiscus flowers fill the air as another sea breeze rolls in. Sweet Sage is truly a sweet experience.

It is clear Sweet Sage Café has something to offer everyone, and that’s why it’s a Toonari top pick for Seminole Florida’s beach side restaurants. Happy eating! Sweet Sage Café is located at 16725 Gulf Blvd N. Redington Beach, FL 33708, and open every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
