Online money-saving giant DiscountVouchers.co.uk has announced a new move into the regional daily deals market through partnership with NimbleCommerce. In direct competition to the US brands that are operating in the UK, DiscountVouchers.co.uk will select daily deals for subscribers depending on their interests and geographical location.
The new venture will see DiscountVouchers.co.uk build on their current discount voucher business to group buy-in deal of the day products, working closely with regional retailers; both large and small. Deals can be found at Deals.DiscountVouchers.co.uk
The DiscountVouchers.co.uk daily deals team will be lead by Chief Executive Officer Gerard Doyle, and will build on DiscountVouchers.co.uk ‘s position as the UK’s fastest growing discount voucher site. The site attracts more than 150,000 unique visitors per day, with a database topping 5 million subscribers.
Commenting on the new venture, Gerard Doyle says: “The expansion into group buying is a natural evolution for DiscountVouchers.co.uk as the audience interested in deals and vouchers are almost identical. We now have a unique opportunity to challenge the US daily deals brands that have established themselves in the UK,” says Gerard.
The DiscountVouchers.co.uk ‘s software platform is being built by global e-commerce daily deals specialists NimbleCommerce who create new transactional opportunities through mobile, search and the power of social networks. “In the US the daily deal websites are spoilt for choices with over a dozen dedicated platform companies but also a huge number of deal companies reselling their technology as a service.

DiscountVouchers.co.uk will be expanding across the regions over the next three months. The first three cities to be targeted will be Brighton, Birmingham and Newcastle. Since DiscountVouchers.co.uk was launched in 2009 the site has helped customers save more than GBP3.8 million and has generated revenues in excess of GBP25 million in the 12 months to August 2011.
At present, the site features more than 500 new offers every day from over 3000 retailers including Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser, Lastminute.com and Sainsbury’s.
