In fact, going through his game film from the early 80′s I found that he blitzed the quarterback slightly less than 30% of the time. LT was a far more complete player than the OLB’s of today. Guys like Ware and Matthews are basically “pass rush specialists”. that was not LT – he was a sideline to sideline run defender who gave the giants 100+ tackle and 10+ sacks a year for the better part of a decade. No disrespect to the stars of today, but none of them have come close to having the same overall impact on the football field as LT did.

Ya ware only had three more, but once you hit 20, the distance is much greater. Besides, how many double digit sacks has harrison had? Ware has every season except his rookie year when he had 8. Don’t all pro players get into the probowl almost off of reputations they have earned, even if that season wasn’t that great for them? Ware got robbed.
