GRAMMY-Nominated Roc Nation/Columbia artist J.Cole will headline college campuses across the U.S. starting on April 11th for Campus Consciousness Spring 2012 / The Sideline Story Tour to support his Gold, critically acclaimed album, Cole World: The Sideline Story.  The show will feature special guest Big K.R.I.T.

The Campus Consciousness Tour is a project of REVERB, which aims to educate and mobilize students to take positive action for the planet, while keeping the environmental footprint of the tour itself to a minimum.

J.Cole is proud to be headlining college campuses this spring after coming off of his sold-out 75+ date world tour last year, stating, “My music gives me a platform to reach a lot of young people. I’m happy to be partnering with REVERB to engage my fans and hope they’ll get on board with these positive environmental messages.”

There will be daytime activities for students prior to the concert at the CCT Eco-Village. This will include voter registration, plastic free initiatives, and live music.

REVERB Co-Director and founder, Adam Gardner states, “We’re thrilled to be working with J. Cole this spring. He is so clearly passionate about social issues and I am looking forward to our two camps joining together to make a difference.”

J.Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story scored him a “Best New Artist” GRAMMY nomination and sold 217,000 copies in its first week to become the #1 album in the country. It was the biggest digital album debut from a new artist since January 2010.  The album is now certified Gold and includes the Platinum single, “Work Out.”  Cole was recently seen performing his hit single “Can’t Get Enough” with The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Next up, he is getting set to launch his new video for “Nobody’s Perfect” featuring Missy Elliott.

REVERB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded by environmentalist Lauren Sullivan and her musician husband, Adam Gardner of Guster. Visit www.reverb.org to learn more.
