Michigan F.A.S.H. Fest, created by CEO and Founder, Leslie Ann Pilling, is presenting a “show and tell” to the world of the extraordinary regional, national and international talent with a Michigan connection through F.= Fashion, A.= Arts, S.= Sound and H.= History.

This three-day event, taking place September 8, 12 and 15th 2012, includes an annual Runway Industry Showcase/Gala, The “Reveal” Beauty Trend Event and Premiere Festival.  The groundbreaking platform will celebrate these talents, along with the apparel manufacturing and textile industries that have gained global attention for Michigan.  http://www.michiganfashfest.com

Michigan F.A.S.H. Fest has partnered with Forgotten Harvest, the sole charity beneficiary, to enhance their message, to reduce food waste.  An ongoing campaign through a yearlong series of promotional events at high profile locations throughout Michigan will garner anticipation.  The first of which occurs onFebruary 23, 2012.  “Hats Against Hunger,” a couture fashion event, will feature the designs of renowned milliner, Mr. Luke Song of Mr.Song Millinery, at Detroit’s newly-restored Madison Theater.

The centerpiece of the evening will be a visual installation constructed by Presence II Productions for Michigan F.A.S.H. Fest, with a one-of-a-kind spectacular surprise created by Mr. Song.  Enhancing the evening will be a strolling fashion show featuring celebrity “Hat Attaches” from the business and nonprofit community, including a charity silent auction of multiple one-of-a-kind hats; proceeds to benefit Forgotten Harvest.

Pilling noted, “Wearing hats gives one the positive power of pizzaz!”

Pilling further commented, “This platform needs business supporting creative and creative showcasing business.”

The event is from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.  The Madison Theater is located at 1555 Broadway Street, Detroit, MI48226.  Tickets to the event are $25, which includes, appetizers and drinks and can be purchased at www.forgottenharvest.org.

Also partnering is Woodard Development Services, which provides consulting services that focus on the prevention of homelessness, assisting individuals who receive food from Forgotten Harvest and its partners.  Michigan F.A.S.H. Fest is proud to join forces with these essential nonprofits which benefit the Metro-Detroit area and beyond.
