Camelot Entertainment Group (“Camelot”) have announced that Camelot Distribution Group (“CDG”) has two films headed to shelves this week. On March 13, both ‘Screwball: The Ted Whitfield Story’ and ‘The Dish and The Spoon’ will be available on DVD and VOD across the country.
‘Screwball’ will be released through Anchor Bay Entertainment and has previously has been available on VOD and Netflix. ‘Dish and Spoon’ is being released through Screen Media and will be available nationwide. The film has received much critical acclaim and was recently named New York Times Critic’s Pick by Steven Holden.
“Two diametrically opposed films that are equally entertaining. ‘The Dish and The Spoon’ is a romantic black comedy and ‘Screwball’ a mockumentary that brings wiffleball to a whole new light,” states Michael Kananack Co-President of Distribution.
‘Screwball‘, starring Funny or Die Comedians Ross Patterson and Joey Kern, follows Ted Whitfield, the greatest wiffleball player of all time and his attempt to break the home run record.
An Official Selection at the 2011 SXSW Film Festival, ‘Dish and Spoon’, starring Greta Gerwig, follows Rose who, reeling from her husbands affair, collides with a marooned teenager in a run down beach town. She recruits the teen to seek revenge upon her husband’s lover while the boy becomes hopelessly infatuated with her.
