Jane,

I’m glad you like the the concept of my blog and that it’s making you think, always a good thing. It’s surprising how little I throw away now that I recycle and compost. Simple changes that had a huge impact were switching to drinking water out of a nalgene instead of bottled water and using a thermos (kleen kanteen) for coffee instead of styrofoam or cardboard cups. Living sustainably is certainly a commitment, society isn’t exactly set up to promote minimal consumption. However, rethinking daily habits is a great place to start.

Awesome article Chelsea! I found myself thinking about how much trash is generated in my house and how I could start cutting back and improve on my recycling habits. Michael is a very disciplined person that his followers could learn a lot from.
