The 2012 New York International Automobile Show is packed to the rafters with nearly 1,000 brand new vehicles, covering all segments of the auto industry. So, car-lovers with a taste for the absolute latest in technology and innovation are in for a treat April 6 – 15 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

Today’s new cars and trucks are lighter, faster, more technologically advanced and fuel efficient than ever before  and the New York Auto Show is the only place that you can see all of this year’s new arrivals in one place at the same time. The 2012/2013 model year is one of the most exciting yet with many all-new models in new segments. From all-new Dodge Dart and Cadillac ATS to the Buick Encore and the Nissan Pathfinder these are some of the finest new cars and trucks ever built. Enjoy the ride!

Dodge Dart: The 2013 Dodge Dart is an all-new compact car offering impressive personalization, roominess, style, functionality, fun-to-drive dynamics and fuel economy.  Available in five trim levels: SE, SXT, Rallye, Limited and R/T, drivers can select from a new 160 hp 16-valve 2.0-liter, a 160 hp 16-valve 1.4-liter Intercooled Turbo or a new 184 horsepower 16-valve 2.4-liter engine.

Porsche Boxster: The open-top two-seat Boxster receives an entirely new longer and wider lightweight body and a completely revamped chassis for the 2012 model year. The Boxster is equipped with a 265 hp 2.7-liter while the Boxster S has a 315 hp 3.4-liter flat-six engine unit.

Infiniti JX: With impressive passenger and rear cargo volume, the 2013 Infiniti JX is a 7-passenger luxury crossover featuring interior flexibility and roominess. Coupled with impressive safety and advanced convenience features such as Connection with Google Calendar, Drive Zone/Speed Alert, Infiniti Personal Assistant, and Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection, the all-new JX is an impressive edition to the luxury SUV market.

Cadillac XTS: The Cadillac 2013 XTS features a 3.6L direct injection engine and advanced all-wheel drive system, marking a shift to more-efficient performance in a spacious luxury sedan. Highlights include an advanced all-wheel-drive system with electronically controlled limited-slip differential, Magnetic Ride Control and rear air suspension.

Cadillac ATS: The all-new Cadillac ATS compact luxury sports sedan is the most agile and lightweight Cadillac to date. It comes with a broad lineup of engines – including two four-cylinders and a V-6. The optional engines include an all-new 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 270 horsepower and Cadillac’s award-winning 3.6L V-6, estimated at 320 hp.

Chevrolet Spark: The 2013 Chevrolet Spark is a nimble, affordable, sporty four-passenger, five-door hatch equipped with the 1.2L four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission. Inside, it offers a seven-inch color touch screen radio capable of displaying smart phone-based navigation, media and contacts for hands-free calling.

Scion FR-S: The FR-S, which stands for Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive, Sport; is Scion’s definition of an authentic rear-wheel-drive sports car with exceptionally balanced performance and handling, compelling style and surprising fuel economy. The FR-S’s 2.0-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine is the result of a joint development between Toyota and Subaru.

Mercedes-Benz SL: The new SL has been produced for the first time almost entirely from aluminum that provides the basis for even more agile and sporty handling. Combined with a range of new BlueDIRECT engines that are more powerful than before, the new SL is up to 29 percent more economical.

Toyota Prius c: This subcompact member of the Prius family will bring Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drivetechnology to a new segment of buyers. Positioned as an entry into the Prius Family appealing to youthful shoppers seeking fuel efficiency, technology, and spirited driving dynamics in the subcompact segment, the Prius c will offer expected fuel economy better than 50 mpg in the city.

Buick Encore: Buick’s all-new 2013 Encore is a small five-seat small luxury crossover that offers substantial cargo capacity along with the confident, higher driving position, all-wheel-drive capability and contemporary styling of a crossover. Additional features include 10 standard air bags and an Ecotec 1.4L turbo four-cylinder/six-speed automatic powertrain.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe: The new Genesis Coupe now sports more aggressive styling, complemented by improved interior materials and design. It is powered by both a 4-cylinder and V6 engines that benefit from significant technology enhancements, with the 3.8-liter V6 engine receiving direct-injection technology and the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine upgrading to a more precise twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler.

Subaru BRZ: The all-new, rear-wheel drive Subaru BRZ sports car is a 2+2 sports car that delivers handling precision and an impressive driving experience for sports car enthusiasts. Utilizing Subaru’s naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, 200 horsepower horizontally opposed (BOXER) engine design is a sports car that does not sacrifice everyday comfort and practicality.

Ford Fusion: Ford’s all-new Fusion brings the broadest selection of fuel-efficient powertrains in the midsize car segment. It offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid alternatives, a pair of EcoBoost four-cylinder engines, a normally aspirated four-cylinder engine, an automatic start stop system to shut off the engine at stationary idle, front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive applications, and a choice between automatic and manually shifted six-speed transmissions.

MINI Roadster: The MINI Roadster is the first open-top two-seater in the MINI model range. The model line-up will range from the MINI Cooper Roadster (121 hp) via the MINI Cooper S Roadster (181 hp) to the MINI John Cooper Works Roadster, whose powerplant develops 208 hp. State-of-the-art technology ensures that all the model variants produce a combination of zesty power development and exceptional fuel economy.

BMW 3 Series: The all-new sixth-generation BMW 3 Series delivers class-leading sport-sedan performance and handling with substantial improvements in fuel-efficiency, active safety, and connectivity. For 2012 the 3-Series gets an all-new turbocharged four-cylinder engine in 328i models yet returns 36 mpg. The 335i models gets BMW’s turbocharged 300hp 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine.

Chevrolet Malibu: The all-new 2013 Malibu Eco is Chevrolet’s most fuel-efficient Malibu ever. It is also the first Chevrolet to feature General Motors’ eAssist battery electric/gas propulsion system, which uses a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor-generator to enable regenerative braking, electric assist and start-stop functionality. That helps deliver an-estimated 26 mpg in city driving and 38 mpg on the highway.

Nissan Pathfinder: The stylish all-new fourth-generation Pathfinder features innovative 3-row interior flexibility and room for seven passengers while its aerodynamic body combined with a refined V6 engine and next-generation Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) makes it one of the most fuel-efficient 7-passenger vehicles on the market.

BMW 6 Series Coupe: The four-door BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe will initially be available in 640i form, powered by a turbocharged inline six-cylinder. The 640i’s engine generates 315 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, enabling 0-62 mph times of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

Lexus GS: The new 2013 GS combines bold, dynamic styling, precise handling, innovative technology, and a spacious interior. The new GS is powered by an advanced 3.5-liter, 306hp, V6 that  propels the GS from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and at the same time, fuel economy has been improved.

Acura ILX: The all-new ILX is a small luxury sedan that features aggressive styling and a choice of three powertrains.  A 2.0-liter, in-line 4 cylinder with Sequential Sportshift automatic transmission, a 2.4-liter, in-line 4 cylinder with 6-speed manual transmission and a 1.5-liter, in-line 4 cylinder and electric hybrid motor mated to an automatic transmission.

Acura RDX: The next-generation RDX with its sleek styling combines class-leading fuel efficiency with powerful performance from its 273-hp, 3.5-liter, V-6 with variable cylinder management with an estimated fuel mileage of 20 city/ 28 hwy, available all-wheel-drive, power tailgate, multi-view rear camera.
