The Full Hit of Summer Festival, presented by PSI2, is going to be a grand opening for the summer season. Taking place in Vienna, Austria, at the end of June, it gives music lovers the chance to gather in the cozy location of Arena Wien, to enjoy good music by a string of class performers.

The festival will take place on the 20th and on the 22nd of June. In contrast to the more plain and transport-heavy festival locations, usually in huge fields in the middle of nowhere, the Full Hit of Summer Festival takes place in the park of one of the historical clubs of the Austrian capital, located in the city center. And the performance level of the musicians promises to match the exclusive scenery.

On the first day of the festival, June 20, concert goers should prepare to be embraced by a mix of sounds that will vary from rock to funk, folk to indie, and give the attendees the chance to explore the vast nuances of music.

The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal, formed in the late ’90s and composed of Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures), will headline on the first day of the Full Hit of Summer Festival. Their pure Rock ‘n’ Roll will be accompanied by the folk rock of San Francisco rock duo Two Gallants. Furthermore the funk groove of the Phenomenal Handclap Band will heat up the night alongside the Viennese band M185, a talented indie band which promises a very interesting performance.

After a day of rest, returning attendees will have a chance to enjoy the second and last day of the festival. Folk-rock band Beirut will headline with their particular approach to music. If you have yet to get familiar with the New Mexico natives, this is probably on of the best moment to do so and experience Beirut in concert; after establishing their talent and astonishing musical capabilities with the band’s first two albums, Beirut demonstrated with the latest album to have matured, cementing their own approach to music and style. Hence this is a chance that should not be missed.

The folk atmosphere will be carried on by the singer-songwriter M Ward, who recently released his seventh studio album, welcomed by audience and critics. Rock will stay on stage with Kurt Vile (The War on Drugs), whose rock style exhoes the classics of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Sweet Sweet Moon, the project of a young Austrian guy, multi-instrumentalist Matthias Frey, promises to give an intriguing performance on stage, as he is known to single handedly create the feeling of an entire orchestra.

The Full Hit of Summer Festival is set to prove a solid sensation for music lovers. A very well-designed festival, whose different acts promises to come together in a smooth plethora of sound. Buy tickets here.
