New York, USA. – Duran Duran continue their history of innovative music and technology initiatives, premiering their latest concert film ‘A Diamond In The Mind’ on Facebook, where many of their loyal fans are most active. Produced by Eagle Rock Entertainment using a custom Qello application, the Digital Premiere of this new concert film will make it instantly accessible to a global audience. In addition, ‘A Diamond In The Mind’ and US tour tickets can be purchased from the Premiere application via Duran Duran’s Facebook Fan Page.

Directed by Gavin Elder, ‘A Diamond In The Mind’ captures the electrifying performance and stunning visual style of Duran Duran’s show at Manchester’s MEN Arena on December 16th, 2011. The DVD ($14.98), CD ($13.98), and Blu-ray ($19.98) mark the band’s first live release in almost a decade, and include new work from their recent studio album ‘All You Need Is Now,’ plus Duran Duran classics.

The Digital Premiere will debut the concert with exclusive audio commentary from original band members Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Roger Taylor, and Nick Rhodes. After the screening members of the band will call in from Istanbul, where they will be on tour, to connect with fans in a live Q&A session. The $4.99 tickets include 30-day All-Access membership to Qello, where fans can also view Duran Duran’s Classic Albums: Rio, plus Qello’s extensive catalog of HD concert films and music documentaries.

The program launches June 18th with several weeks of festivities on the Duran Duran Facebook page, including Digital Premiere ticketing, and VIP Ticket and CD giveaways. To promote the Premiere, and make the experience more social, fans that post about the event via Facebook will gain access to a special sneak preview.

Duran Duran are currently busy preparing for the continuation of their world tour and headlining performance on the opening night of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Speaking from London, singer Simon Le Bon said, “We really hope the fans will enjoy this experience. The Manchester show was a special one for us – and we’re very proud of the film. It has a different feel from anything we’ve done before, but we think it completely captures the spirit of the performance that night.”

Duran Duran are one of the most iconic British bands of the last three decades. With over 80 million records sold, 30 UK Top 20 hits and 18 American hit singles, they are unstoppable, recently collectingsix prestigious ’Lifetime Achievement Awards’ from MTV VMAs, the BRITS, the IVOR NOVELLOS, Q Magazine, the Spanish Ondas, and GQ Magazine.
