The Greenville Music Festival will take place from the 27th to the 29th of July 2012, in Paaren im Gliem, Germany, a short trip from Berlin. Greenville’s slogan “hear it, feel it, be it” defines the attitude attendees should embrace when going to this music festival. Nobody is left out; Greenville’s vision is to take different music genres and styles, and make them smoothly merge into a performance able to unify music lovers. That is the only requirement to enjoy the festival: love for music.

The website of the event describes its idea, “In a world full of choices action and desires all question who we are and where we belong. icons, rebels and creative spirits provide our inspiration. philosophers and visionaries – artists and musicians alike who follow their instincts and believes many of our [inspirers] are those we only wish we had known, from jimy hendrix to steve mcqueen, amy winehouse to kurt cobain, bob marley to tupac shakur, frank sinatra to mark spoon- please feel welcome to share and join GREENVILLE, our vision of music, arts and party […]greenville festival is our road to what we want out of life outside our lives a very warm welcome to all our believers!”

In the country famous for its Metal festivals, which take the stage during German summers every year, Greenville offers a selection of some of the artists that are shaping the many music genres much appreciated by fans. Rock, Pop, Electronic Music, Alternative, Indie-Rock are featured at Greenville.

Among all the live performances hosted, Greenville Festival will feature the performance of Iggy Pop and The Stooges. The Godfather of punk and his band chose Greenville to give fans some of the astonishing energy that characterizes Iggy Pop. Iggy and The Stooges will perform on July 29.

For those who want to take a break from the live performances, there will be art areas, gaming areas, tattoo artists, and so on and so forth. There doesn’t seem to be any chance to get bored at this festival. After the concerts, the attendees will have the chance to part until dawn, with the DJ Nights organized by the Festival in the Brandenburghalle in Pareen im Glien. Furthermore, following the trend of some of the major music festivals in the world, Greenville festival stays faithful to its name taking care of the environment. For example, the electrical power for the entire festival will be generated by alternative sources of energy.
