Webisode Series on US Air Force to Air Online

Irvine, U.S.A. – Ubiquity Studios is producing a five webisode series for the United States Air Force (USAF) in a high stakes competition for pride, honor, and a flight in an F-16 fighter jet.

Ubiquity Studios teaming with the USAF and Formula Drift(FD) are producing a five part webisode featuring real USAF airmen and professional formula drift drivers racing and vying for a coveted flight in an USAF F-16 fighter jet. The webisodes began airing last week to rave reviews and can be viewed online.

Episode 1 introduces the four USAF airmen, Tech Sgt. Brian Abel, Staff Sgt. Natasha Burroughs, Staff Sgt. Steven Dauck, and Sr Airman Semmi Quarles as they meet with professional Formula Drift Driver who will be teaching them how to drift. Professional FD drivers on the show include Ryan Tureck, Aurimus “Odi” Bakchis, Joon Maeng, and Tony Angelo. Follow the web series and see what happens next online here.

Professional Formula Drift Driver and 10 year FD veteran Tony Angelo said, “I am super pumped for the opportunity to teach Sr. Quarles how to drift. I hope we win the flight in the F-16.”

Ryan Sage Co-Founder and Vice President of Formula Drift said “We are really ecstatic to be involved in this project with USAF and Ubiquity. The project, Drift into the Blue, showcases two of our most integral partners and the result is a huge life experience for an airmen and a Formula DRIFT driver. How can you go wrong with that?”

“United States Air Force and Formula Drift have a lot in common in doing what they do; technology, teamwork and a great deal of speed. Drift into the Blue is a truly amazing series featuring some of the brightest and most talented individuals from the USAF and the expert Formula drift drivers doing what they do best-drifting. The series features footage which immerses you into the moment and makes you feel like you are driving in the car with them”, said CEO of Ubiquity Chris Carmichael.

“The Air Force needs to fill over 9,000 mechanical related jobs each year and we know drifting fans are mechanically inclined.  We view our Formula Drift sponsorship as a means of connecting with the millions of fans nationwide and creating brand awareness and loyalty towards the Air Force.

“Formula Drift will continue to be a valuable partner for the Air Force in showcasing some of the many careers the Air Force has to offer young Americans interested in speed, power, precision and teamwork. It was a truly great experience working with Ubiquity and Formula Drift on this project. The team at Ubiquity was able to tell our story while showcasing some fun driving footage.

“This was a great experience for all involved and we hope the Drift fans enjoy the show while learning more about what the Air Force does every day.” Devin M. Washington, Major, USAF Chief, Air Force National Events Branch, Headquarters Air Force Recruiting Service.
