Denver, U.S.A — On September 29, Denver music fans are in for much more than a “taste” of IcelandÂ at The Gothic Theatre this weekend, they can expect an earful. Reykjavik Calling, part of theÂ A Taste ofÂ IcelandÂ events inÂ DenverÂ this week, is a free Icelandic music showcase presented by KGNU 88.5 FM & 1390 AM.
In addition to performing full sets, during the show, eachÂ IcelandÂ artists will be paired with aÂ Denver-based singer songwriter to perform never before heard cross-cultural collaborations. Fans can expect a variety of musical styles fromÂ Iceland’s best including Lay Low’s bluesy honky-tonk inspired vocals to Mugison’s epic power-rock performances.
