Sunnyvale, U.S.A. — On October 18, GamesCampus, an online game publisher announced the re-introduction of their colorful fantasy MMORPG, Legend of Edda. Originally announced in 2010, Legend of Edda spent a year in mysterious silence which is now being broken by a tidal wave of news and updates. Players can check out the new teaser site with plenty of new information at http://legendofedda.gamescampus.com/teaser.
“So much has changed in the last year, that we’re changing the game’s title to reflect these upgrades. Legend of Edda is back with a vengeance, and that’s exactly what we’ve called the new version - Legend of Edda: Vengeance!” said Hubert Yee, Head of Marketing at GamesCampus. “We’ll have a landslide of news starting October 18 and continuing through the rest of the year.”
GamesCampus, alongside EYASoft, has been toiling endlessly to completely overhaul the original Legend of Edda system, and that work is finally coming to an end. Legend of Edda players will soon be able to rejoin their friends in a mystical world filled with ancient myth and ageless foes. Here’s just a small preview of the changes players can expect to see in the release of Vengeance.
Players will be blown away by the Revamped Skill System. Each character now has a better defined role and their class skills have been redefined, refined, or added. What’s an MMORPG these days without those coveted and whacky Achievements? These new goals are a mix of fun, frantic, and downright silly, and can reward players with special items upon completion.
An ever-important Economy Re-balancing has been levied across all items. Many Item Drop Tables have been adjusted so players now receive more appropriate loot for their level and region; item availability has also been tweaked so players will have a larger pool of zone options to hunt in. Dress for success with the improved Set Items in Legend of Edda: Vengeance.
Sets now have better stats, and players can watch for new sets that will be coming in the future. Tired of smashing your armor into pieces? The Upgrade System has been improved across the board, with better success rates and stat changes. Stat increases are now expressed in a percentage, which will make their usefulness more clear.
There’s plenty more changes to be announced before the end of 2012. Players can re-join the Legend of Edda: Vengeance community by liking the Facebook or following @legendofedda on Twitter. There will be plenty of news to share in the coming weeks leading up to the game’s closed beta and launch.
