New Delhi, India — In partnership with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the EastWest Institute, a leading New York-based think tank, is holding its 3rd Worldwide Cybersecurity Summit in New Delhi. The summit will take place at the Taj Palace Hotel on October 30-31, 2012.

Following the success of the previous annual summits in Dallas and London, this conference will bring together an international group of leading thinkers, practitioners and decision makers. This location underscores India’s rapid emergence as a key player on cybersecurity issues. The theme of this year’s summit is the ”Next Billion Netizens Safely Connect”.

Over 300 participants from approximately 20 countries will address critical security areas where international policy has failed to make progress. This unique event will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to catalyze progress on international cybersecurity cooperation. The summit will focus on fighting spam, the Reliability of Global Undersea Communications Cable Infrastructure (ROGUCCI) and new proposals for establishing a system of Priority International Communications (PIC).

The objective for each of the summit’s breakthrough groups is to produce concrete recommendations for industry and government that, if implemented, will have significant impact in making cyberspace and the real world more stable and secure.

Mr. Kapil Sibal, the Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development & Minister of Communications & Information Technology will deliver the keynote address. Additionally, Mr. Sachin Pilot , Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology along with Mr. R Chandrashekhar, Ms. Latha Reddy and Mr. Som Mittal are some of the esteemed speakers at the summit.
