FB – Let’s Be Friends
This month will feature something for every gamer with such anticipated titles as “The Last of Us” and “Remember Me.” “Animal Crossing: New Leaf” and “Game & Wario” will be coming out this month for Nintendo fans. Lastly there will be “Deadpool” for any comic book fans.
(6/9/Sunday) Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Nintendo 3DS)
(6/11/Tuesday) Dark (Xbox 360, PC)
“Animal Crossing: New Leaf” is the fourth game in the Animal Crossing series and will mark the first time the player can be the mayor. The player will be able to better customize their character and house than other games as well as the new ability to customize the town. Two features added to the game are Public Works Projects and Ordinances which allow the player collect funds and pass laws.
“Dark” is a new stealth action role-playing game for the Xbox 360 and PC. The gameplay will feature stealth combat and the ability to utilize the characters vampire skills. This will allow the player to temporarily become invisible, slow down time, perform stealth finishers, and see in the dark. However, this will be regulated by ‘blood points’ which can be restored by drinking blood.

(6/25/Tuesday) Deadpool (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC)
“Remember Me” is the new action game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A mechanic introduced in the game is ‘memory remixing’ which has the player rearrange a person’s memories to manipulate them. Another mechanic will be stealing memories and then later replay the memory in real-time. The player will also be able customize their own combos.
“The Last of Us” is a new action-adventure survival horror game for the PlayStation 3. The game will have the player fighting off both infected humans and other survivors. The gameplay mechanic called ‘dynamic stealth’ that has the player employ various strategies to take on enemies which will cause them to react differently to different situations.
“Deadpool” is the new video game based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool. The game will feature a combination of melee and shooting as well as swords, sai, guns, and big hammers. Deadpool will frequently break the fourth wall and interact with the player such as telling to perform certain moves or combos. The player will also be given the choice to either reattach severed limbs or wait for them to regrow due to Deadpool’s accelerated healing factor.
(6/25/Tuesday) Company of Heroes 2 (PC)
“Company of Heroes 2” is the real-time strategy game and the sequel to “Company of Heroes”. One improvement from the previous game is the new line-of-sight technology that will better simulate visibility in real combat. Another new feature will be the factor of weather conditions such as troops dying from frostbite.
(6/23/Sunday) Game & Wario (Wii U)
“Game & Wario” is a party game in the Wario series for the Wii U. The game will feature sixteen mini-games; twelve for single player and four for multiplayer that will be up to five players. The game will only use the Wii U Gamepad. Throughout the game players will earn tokens that can be used to unlock additional mini-games and toys.
