Santa Barbara, U.S.A. – Sonos, the leading manufacturer of wireless HiFi systems, has teamed up with Target to host an exclusive listening party and intimate performance set with Alanis Morissette at the Sonos Studio in Los Angeles on Monday, August 20 at 8:00 p.m. Morissette will personally introduce and create conversation around the creative process behind her highly-anticipated album “Havoc and Bright Lights,” which includes exclusive tracks available only at Target.

This intimate performance and listening event will explore on Morissette’s music career, inspirations and motivation. A live Q&A moderated by Billboard Magazine’s Phil Gallo will include standout tracks from the album to spark discussion, followed by a short acoustic performance. The Sonos Studio environment offers an exceptional backdrop for both the performance and conversation, with its acoustically-designed listening gallery.

For two decades, Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music. Her deeply expressive performances and passion for music have earned worldwide praise and sales of over 60 million albums. Her new album explores the evolution of her entire body of work as being an experience of courage and dedication.

The Target exclusive version of Morissette’s “Havoc and Bright Lights” will contain three additional tracks, “Big Sur,” “Guru,” and “Permission.” These three tracks will only be available at Target when the album launches August 28.

California, U.S.A. — Guitar Center has announce the upcoming induction of multi-platinum and Grammy winning singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette, into the retailers historic RockWalk. The induction ceremony, which is by invitation only, will take place on Tuesday, August 21 at 10:30 a.m. PDT at Guitar Center’s Hollywood location on Sunset Boulevard.

“Alanis Morissette is the perfect example of the type of artist we intend to honor with Guitar Center’s RockWalk,” said Dave Weiderman, Chairman of Guitar Center’s RockWalk. “She has made such a lasting impression on the hearts of her fans and on the styling of fellow musicians that it is high time we recognize her place in music history. Guitar Center is always striving to support and inspire musicians so we are honored to be recognizing such an influential artist.”

Guitar Center’s RockWalk is dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues and R&B. As the newest RockWalk inductee, Alanis Morissette’s handprints will reside alongside the handprints, signatures, and faces of other equally accomplished musicians and innovators such as Eric Clapton , George Martin, Jimmy Page, Iron Maiden, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Van Halen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Marvin Gaye,James Brown, B.B. Additionally, Morissette will grace the cover of Guitar Center’s Buyers Guide.Havoc and Bright Lights will be available for purchase at all 230 Guitar Center locations nationwide beginning August 28, 2012.
