The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

Sydney, Australia – Following its highly successful launch in Melbourne last year, this is the first time Australia has hosted a show on this scale for two consecutive years; and it’s likely to continue with the return to Melbourne next year. Exhibitions are enjoying a revival due to their ability to present new to market products, diminishing choice on the high street and the growth of own branding.

Using over 50 prestige Suites at the high end Sheraton on the Park Hotel, the format remains unchanged: emphasis being given to high quality Audio & AV products, each displayed and demonstrated in individual listening rooms. Opening to the public on Friday at 2.00pm - closing at 6.00pm, then Saturday 10.00am – 5.00pm and Sunday 10.00am – 4.00pm.

Various ticket options are available from the Organisers website: http://www.chestergroup.org. Both Trade and Press passes are available to those directly engaged with the industry, so not only do shows of this type please the buying public, but also allow valuable networking for the industry.

This type of show has been long overdue for Australia, and has thus tapped into an incredibly receptive market; one of the most outstanding features from last year was the vast age range of those that visited – plus families and groups. The show proved so popular that on neither of the three days was it able to close on time.

With many new exhibitors from Australia and Overseas, the show promises to deliver great enjoyment once again. The Organisers are extremely pleased to confirm that the Australian Hi-fi Association are also associated with this year’s show. Also, the Organisers are Co -Sponsors of the Next Media’s Sound and Image Awards which also takes place at the Sheraton on the Park: Saturday the 20th October.

“We take all the events we organise worldwide very seriously” says Group Chairman Roy Bird

“We do all we can to help the industry not only in the long term, but also so our shows reflect changes and move with the times”

Part of their success is the great local partnerships they have been able to forge together with Media Sponsorships, and they are greatly indebted to the huge support they have received from Jim & Di Preece and the NextMedia Magazine Group.
