Internationally renowned bridal stylist, Renée Strauss, is back on television with the second season of “Brides of Beverly Hills.” The season premiere aired on TLC November 2, 2012, with all the excitement and drama of engaged women and, in some cases, women who are no longer engaged. Through all the ups and downs of every guest’s wedding preparation, host Renée Strauss never seems to stop loving what she does.

In the premiere episode, Linda Hogan shops for a dress as a giddy bride-to-be. At 53, the ex-wife of wrestler Hulk Hogan, searches for the perfect wedding dress for her engagement to Charlie Hill, 23. During the fitting, Hogan reveals that the couple hasn’t set a date for the wedding yet. **SPOILER ALERT** Later, we discover the engagement had been broken off since just after Hogan agreed to appear on the show.

This episode shows us that though Linda Hogan is a celebrity, she is also a real person with real feelings. And sometimes these things don’t work out. We don’t blame her for withholding the information about her breakup to try on dresses either.

When Toonari Post asked Renée Strauss, host of “Brides,” how she handles upset or distressed brides, she told us, “I try to relate to each person with respect and the understanding that behind every face and smile (or frown) there is a lifetime of stories. Some are more pleasant than others. But we cannot presume and pre-judge based on the way a person dresses or by the attitude they bring. I am here to serve and it is my privilege to do so!”

Renée’s charm and enthusiasm keeps viewers absorbed in the show. But where did Renée come from? To many, she appeared out of nowhere with a TLC show. But in reality, she has been inspiring us for a long time behind the scenes, wardrobing films like Father of the Bride and Runaway Bride. With an offer from Hollywood for a television show, how could she refuse?

Renée has known for a long time that she wanted to go into bridal clothing. Just watching the show, it’s obvious she loves what she does. She is also eager to share advice for those interested in the bridal industry through seminars. She says, “My dream is to have groups of seminars where young business professionals gather together to share best business practices of seasoned professionals in various fields.” It is rare to find such a down to earth television celebrity.

Her advice to those interested in going into the bridal industry is, “Love what you do. Always move forward. When you fall down take a moment…breathe and get right back up. Make opportunity for yourself and go after it…be gracious and sincere and follow through on what you say you will do.”

Produced by Planetworks, this 15-episode half hour sophomore season will continue to follow the world renowned bridal stylist Renée Strauss and her colorful team of stylists, including celebrity florist Kevin Lee, as they navigate the unique personalities and demands of the Beverly Hills bride. Season one average 1.2 million P2+ viewers and garnered a 1.0 HH rating for the network that is home to the most popular wedding programming on television.

Vowing to deliver even more glitz, glamour and drama, the season kicks off with the premiere episode featuring the famous reality TV star Linda Hogan. Best known as ex-wife of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, Linda searches for the perfect gown – even after her engagement to Charley Hill, someone her daughter’s age was called off.  She believes that if she finds the perfect dress, the perfect man will soon follow.

Later, viewers meet bride-to-be Yvonne Pampellonne who was labeled by international media as the “Boob Bandit” back in 2009. Yvonne has been accused of stealing an individuals’ identity to get a breast augmentation. After doctors were able to trace her identify through a serial number featured in her old set of implants, Yvonne was forced to plead guilty to burglary, grand theft and identity theft. Now ready to close that chapter in her life, she is determined to find her dream dress and walk down the aisle with Shane, her fiancé who she has known since childhood.

TLC transformed Fridays into “BrideDay” through airing two hours of original wedding-related content each week, securing the network’s #1 rank among all ad-supported cable on Friday night in 2012 among W18-34.
