DJ Pauly D will bring his world-renowned music skills to Atlantic City for his debut East Coast residency giving party goers at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort access to America’s favorite DJ. His presence will serve as a rejuvenating force in the area’s nightlife culture establishing Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City’s ever expanding entertainment portfolio.

“The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort is one of the most sought after nightlife spots in the Nation, and our partnership with Pauly D, who is one of the most recognized deejays in the world, makes for an incredibly unique experience here in Atlantic City,” said  Howard Weiss, Regional Director of Nightlife Operations for Caesars Entertainment’s Eastern Division.

Pauly D rose to the top of the pop culture landscape by starring on MTV’s highest rated series ever, Jersey Shore and can currently be seen in the show’s fifth season airing Thursday nights.

Pauly D recently announced his new spin-off show  The Pauly D Project , which premieres Thursday, March 29 on MTV. The reality star’s spin-off series, documents him as he scores a record deal with G-Note Records and opens for  Britney Spears  on her Femme Fatale tour.

DJ Pauly D will kick off the much anticipated circuit with a star-studded debut on Saturday, March 31, 2012 following with an April 28th performance and several others throughout 2012.

Just when we all thought Britney Spears was back on top, it has been announced that not even price cuts are helping the blonde superstar sell tickets for her upcoming gigs in the UK. Tickets originally priced at £55 are now offered at £30 for her Birmingham concert on October 30. It looks like she will be singing for a half-full audience in a few days.

Live Nation, the official promoter for Britney’s tour hasn’t denied the bad news. However, they have confirmed implementing price cuts and ticket giveaway marketing strategies to reach new and additional consumers. At a recent show in Ukraine, fans complained about the high prices in a global recession, which may explain the sluggish tickets sales.

An A-list performer like Britney Spears, whose latest tour includes 78 concerts all over the planet, is believed to have the jolt needed to sell out every date of the tour. But the reality is, sometimes not even a bunch of hit songs is enough to make the crowds go crazy. Meanwhile, fans in Latin America seem to be really excited for Britney’s current tour.

A loyal army of fans are anxious for her first visit in years. Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East are now must-visit sites for international superstars because new destinations also want their piece of pop culture. After flopping commercially in the US, both Avril Lavigne and Miley Cyrus embarked on tours that hit these spots.

Britney’s popularity hasn’t waned in the past months either. In fact, her latest video, “Criminal,” stirred up controversy. Shot in London and starring her real boyfriend, the Bonny & Clyde-inspired video includes guns, swearing, and a lot of steamy love scenes.

“Criminal” is the fourth single off “Femme Fatale,” the diva’s seventh studio album that has had a successful run on the charts. The Max Martin and Dr. Luke production features songs garnished with lots of auto-tune and signature beats that won’t change the world, but will definitely throw you into Britney’s groove.

It has been more than a decade since the self-proclaimed Miss American Dream rose to stardom with her catchy tune “…Baby One More Time.” At this point in the game, Britney won’t fool anyone into thinking she’s the greatest vocalist of all time. Many fellow performers such as P!nk and Lady Gaga have attacked the professional auto-tuner for lip synching all the way through her 90 minute set list.

Some music fans may think it is a bit scammy of Britney to play a bunch of pre-recorded tracks and mime along the melodies, only revealing her only vocals to thank her fans. But 13 years into her multi-platinum career, when one purchases a ticket to see Miss Britney, audiences expect a huge production filled with fireworks, dancing, and acrobats, but no live singing.

There is absolutely room for all kinds of music acts in the industry, and when your name is Britney Spears, a bad gig is not the end of your career. BBC and Epix Television Channel have attained the distribution rights to air a television special titled “Britney Spears: Femme Fatale” both in 2D and 3D. The concert shot in Toronto will also be released on DVD.
