After 14 years of total success in Miami, the Ultra Music Festival is coming to Europe. Last year, 150 000 people attended this huge event, headlined by mega stars such as David Guetta, Tiesto, and many others.

The popularity of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is at an all-time global high with DJ’s being considered today’s rock stars. Over the past years, the genre has established itself as the strongest one out there, with DJ’s such as David Guetta, Tiesto, Avicii and Swedish House Mafia and being on top of the charts Worldwide.

Even the music industry itself has started to accept EDM, which became obvious at this year’s Grammies where multiple DJ’s were nominated, live performances by David Guetta and Deadmaus5 and with Skrillex winning three out of the five Grammies he was nominated for.

The Ultra Music Festival has over the years become the #1 festival in the world for EDM, with an attendance of 150 000 visitors coming to Miami to take part of what is known as the biggest party on the planet. This year’s Miami festival, to be held in March, sold out in record time with sell-outs in all of the previous years. The festival now takes the step further to become a worldwide concept, with it’s presence on four (4) continents – North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

- Warsaw has an incredible strong dance music scene. Added to that, its strategic location leaves it surrounded by no less than 21 countries within a radius of 1 000 km. This is Poland’s chance to play host to much more then Euro 2012, says Lars Holmgren, VP marketing of UMF Europe, the company organizing the event.

The UMF Poland will be held on July 13-14 at the Sluzeviec Hippodrome, Warsaw, and is expected to be the biggest dance event ever in the country and the region. More than 100 DJ’s and artists will be performing on the festival’s six different stages. In the first phase lineup, several top acts are already confirmed, such as Avicii, Tiesto, Carl Cox & Friends and with many more to come.

Multi-platinum selling group Far East Movement (aka FM) on January 20 premiered the much-anticipated music video for ‘Jello’ through VEVO. The hypnotic high-energy hard-hitting ‘Jello’ (co-produced by The Stereotypes and FM and featuring Rye Rye) serves as the first song off ‘Dirty Bass,’ FM’s hot sophomore album out this spring.

Far East Movement’s maverick exploration of the bass end of the spectrum and pioneering club sound has incurred the wrath of self-described ‘music purity advocacy group’ Ban Low-frequency Oscillating Woofers or B.L.O.W.  The B.L.O.W. (http://www.bloworg.org) organization has filed a petition denouncing FM’s low-frequency-powered music.

Cherrytree Records released an official statement in response: “While we respect B.L.O.W.’s right to their opinion, we at Cherrytree… support Far East Movement’s right to create in the low frequency spectrum and appeal to everyone to please join us in opposing B.L.O.W.’s stance by backing Far East Movement’s right to artistic, sub-bass expression, banging new track ‘Jello’ and forthcoming new Cherrytree album ‘Dirty Bass.’”

The ‘Jello’ music video, directed by Matt Alonzo, shows FM infiltrating a press conference for the B.L.O.W. organization. FM, in disguise, sneak into the conference and turn it into a ‘Dirty Bass’ celebration demonstrating why a ban on Low-frequency bass is absurd, and convert the B.L.O.W. organizers into bass supporters. The video features cameos from comedian Andy Milonakis and multi-talented Jay Park along with the song’s guest vocalist, dance-rap sensation Rye Rye.

2011, was an amazing breakthrough year for FM with two Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 songs (‘Like a G6,’ ‘Rocketeer’), multiple award nominations, national TV performances and big tours with superstars Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, LMFAO and cutting edge acts La Roux, Robyn and Kelis.

2012, the band returns with ‘Dirty Bass,’ a dynamic universal party sound that furthers the ’808′ heavy bass, dance and electronic blends that bring booming trunk bass to international dance floors. FM shaped the ‘Dirty Bass’ sound with producers The Stereotypes and assistance from RedOne, David Guetta, Bangladesh, Dallas Austin and Martin “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” Kierszenbaum.

Far East Movement are kicking off the year on the CherryTree Pop Alternative tour visiting Canada the beginning of February before hitting Europe to tour through March.

Once again, old Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland surprises by announcing her third solo album named, Here I Am.

Her success with her previous musical productions featuring the French dance producer David Guetta had placed her on a great musical level reaching great international success and making her the official dance diva.

Now its time for her comeback, but this time her new record brings up another mood, and style.

The new album brings something completely different from previous productions form Kelly. The predominant gender is  R&B, and the idea is to contrast in many the loud tone of the voice with the background beats.

In an interview with MTV Kelly exposed: “I think that R&B, of course, is where I’m deeply rooted, period,” she continued. “I’ll never go anywhere. I just happened to try something out [dance], and it worked, and that’s just the part of it. And I think that’s what I admire about artists like Chris Brown and Rihanna, who don’t mind putting it all on their album. Who cares? It’s music, and they’re making it: great music. And I’m proud of that, that we do have a generation that is just making great music, period.”

The album contains the song Commander that features David Guetta.

But for once all, Kelly Rowland is redirecting her to a unique style. Finally settling in a style that fits in perfectly.
