The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

No, it is not a heavy metal group and no its not something the normal person wouldn’t listen to. This is maybe the group that almost most of the earth’s population has listened to without even knowing , Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix are the only two founders and composers behind the music of Two Steps From Hell.

If someone never watched a Harry Potter or any Marvel movie or never played Mass effect or kill zone, then they are still counted as one of many that listened to this group without knowing because their music was played during the opening of the London Olympics 2012.

The reason this group is so known yet unknown is that their music was present in almost the best and the most watched movie productions, usually their music are always used in movie trailers. In a sense this kind of music is always what makes the movie look more exciting than it actually is.

Two Steps From Hell has been doing trailer music for several of biggest movies in the past few years, such as ‘Avatar’, ‘Up’, ‘Beauty & The Beast’, ‘Super 8′, ‘The Avengers’, ‘Tintin’, ‘The Amazing Spider Man’ and many more.

The group was formed back in 2006 by Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix who combined their musical abilities to write a book full of original music that in only six years has achieved great success and 22 album releases.

To explain the formation and the process of Two Steps From Hell. The music is composed and written by Bergersen and Phoenix, and is then played and recorded by an orchestrated group conducted and by a conductor. Their official conductor is Petr Pololáník, he is an orchestrator and music producer. Petr studied both violin, piano and conducting and now he is working with Bergersen and Phoenix.

Many would categorize this brilliant music under its own genre, as it has a new form and new musical structure that has a blend of tastes from the classical and epic music era to the rough and solid heavy rock music, that gives a motion picture its real motion. Almost any fictional or adventure motion picture trailer or a thrilling scene would not be the same without this music, yet their music without the motion picture will still definitely give the image and the message without seeing it, and that is the unique element of their music. It is music that tells a story and takes the listener to new lands.

The artistic album arts are done by the artist and graphic designer, Steven R. Steven, who is well known in the film community where he has worked on the graphic campaigns for movies like ‘Lord Of The Rings’, ‘Dark Knight’, ’300′, and ‘Watchmen’. Steven is the mastermind behind all of the Two Steps From Hell album covers.

Two Steps From Hell are in a sense a musical group that has changed the musical world of the movie theater and in a sense boosted the view counts of many overrated movies.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

If you are looking for a new twist on the vampire plot, Andrew John Robinson’s Vampire Vendetta should be next on your list of must-reads. Becoming a vampire, from Robinson’s point of view, is not the glitz and glam of Twilight, but neither is it the classical horror of Dracula.

In this realm vampirism is a virus that was first used in battle but has gotten out of hand. It is a disease that many fear to get, despite it being extremely difficult to do so. This new race of people has created a politically charged setting with a high level of misinformed individuals who do not tolerate what is unknown to them and thus try to eliminate it.

Robinson offers up a world that is described with such great detail that it is hard to believe it doesn’t exist. Every room is laid out in front of readers like a universal blueprint, or an expertly-sketched rendering by an interior designer. There is nothing more readers will want than to get the chance to spend at least a couple of days exploring the Eagle Estates Private School. This school may not be as magical as Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, but it holds just as much appeal to readers and, like Hogwarts, seems to be a world all its own.

The only setback is that the story revolves around a set of characters, so other than their interactions with each, other not much else is seen of the experience a student would have at Eagle Estates. Readers will definitely pick up on the over-the-top security measures, and the comings and goings of students, but there is not much detail regarding the differences between the lives of vampire students and “norm” students. Readers get just enough information about the students’ lives to quench their curiosity, but they will soon wish there was more.

The ending is also a bit abrupt, especially in comparison to all the drama that goes on throughout the book. Rosemary, the daughter of an arms dealer and now a newly-turned vampire, is kidnapped by the Anti-Vamp League, and it is up to her friends and the man who made her a vampire to come to the rescue.

The case becomes such a high priority that even the president of the United States is involved. If things go wrong it could mean the end of Eagle Estates, the president’s reputation, and the disintegration of a family. The stakes are set high, as a group of rich kids learn to take care of themselves in order to save their friend. Not only will they change their lives, they will also change the future of all the students to enter the gates of Eagle Estates, vampire and norm alike.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

Unlike their competitors, Sony wasted no time getting to the most important topic for any gamer during its E3 presentation: games. Unfortunately, not all of the games shown were to everyones liking.

Beyond: Two Souls, developed by Quantic Dreams, the makers of Heavy Rain, was announced at the beginning of the show. Much like Heavy Rain, story and cinematic seem to play a large role in the game and follows the protagonist, Judie Holmes, over the course of her life.

Sony fans itching for some Super Smash Bros. are fortunately in luck; PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale aims to fill that niche. Battles are based around getting points, which players can obtain through defeating others and special moves. Big Daddy from Bioshock was confirmed as a playable character; other 3rd party characters may be included.

Sony also touched on their online service, PlayStation Network (PSN), revealing that over 200 games are due for release on the service within the next 12 months, including titles like The Unfinished Swan PSN and PS1 titles available online are also headed toward the Vita. Fans can look forward to PS1 classics like Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy 7.

In addition, PlayStation Plus members can also expect to get great deals on content and online games, a smart move that will hopefully get more people to sign up for the service.

A Call of Duty game is in development for the Vita, along with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation (AC). Liberation is the first Assassin’s Creed game to feature a female assassin as the lead, has touch screen capabilities, and was built ground up for the Vita. There are also extras that can be unlocked when the game is linked up to Assassin’s Creed 3 on PlayStation 3. The games will give Vita owners something to look forward to in the coming months.

The latest flagship game in the AC series will have an emphasis on water, with controlling ships on the high seas as an important part of the game. A special and realistic weather system will also be in place in the game. Both Assassin’s Creed games will take place in America during revolutionary times.

Far Cry 3 multiplayer was also shown. The mode will include 4-player co-op and feature missions made specifically for multiplayer. Looking a little rough at this time, the game still has a ways to go in development, but looks to be a fun experience.

Sony, however, went wrong announcing Wonder Book: Book of Spells. Utilizing the PlayStation Move, players can cast spells and embark on quests in a Harry Potter themed world. The game is, however, nothing like the games fans were expecting and is more reminiscent of a point-and-click game meant for children. Many fans voiced their disapproval of the software and the lengthy amount of time devoted to it.

Toward the end of the conference, a trailer for the new God of War game, subtitled “Ascension,” was shown. Fans of the series will be delighted to know that the game looks to follow its predecessor’s closely in terms of game-play and gore. A multiplayer mode will be included, up to 8 players can join in games of competitive team play where players will battle for control of the map. A release date of March 12, 2013 has been announced.

Sony closed its show with The Last of Us. Created by developer Naughty Dog, responsible for successful franchises like Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and the Uncharted series, the trailer for the game was by far the highlight of Sony’s conference. It features two characters, the ruthless Joel and the young but wise Ellie, trying to survive in a zombie infested post-apocalyptic world. While the concept might seem overdone, Naughty Dog breathes fresh life into the wasteland with fast and action-packed game-play.

While Sony had some high points and some low points, many fans overall were disappointed. Many games they expected to be shown or announced were not touched upon, such as Kingdom Hearts 3. Other than The Last of Us, there were no big surprises, and many hated Wonder Book: Book of Spells. Luckily for Sony, The Last of Us was enough not to alienate fans, but they definitely will not attract any newcomers with the show.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

London, UK – Whether you are visiting as a family, travelling with a loved one or celebrating with a group of friends, Orlando really does have something for everybody.

There are plenty of options when it comes to creating the perfect holiday, whether you want to experience Florida at a resort or if you choose to rent your own villa in Orlando.

Orlando is the theme park capital of the world, home of Walt Disney World Resort, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, SeaWorld and so much more. There has never been a better time to explore Orlando and discover all it has to offer. Visit the Magic Kingdom for a day full of excitement, and why not add even more magic to your trip and visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.

For the animal lovers, visit Discovery Cove where you can swim with dolphins, snorkel with amazing fish and come face to face with a shark in Sea Venture, a new underwater walking tour! Once the sun has set, you can go to watch La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil, exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort, and experience a mesmerizing, unforgettable evening of acrobatics.

If you could do with a little pampering after the excitement of the roller coasters, Orlando is home to some fabulous spas, and no holiday would be complete without a little rest and relaxation. If you are travelling with your family don’t be put off, as a lot of the resorts in Orlando have spa menus for children! For a little retail therapy, there are fabulous collection of shopping centers, outlet villages and boutiques, all very close to each other – another great way to unwind.

For thrill seekers hunting for some adventure outside of the theme parks, hang gliding, jet skiing, zip wires and snorkeling are just a few of the exciting outdoor activities you can take part in on your holiday. If you are looking for something equally as exciting but maybe a little more romantic, why not try a hot air balloon ride over the treetops to watch the sun set?

With such an extraordinary amount of attractions, theme parks and activities available in Orlando, it’ll be a challenge to fit it all in.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

Osaka, Japan - Universal Studios Japan, in partnership with Warner Bros. and Universal Parks & Resorts, announced that they will be bringing The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to Japan, marking the global expansion of this wildly popular themed entertainment experience that started at Universal Orlando Resort nearly two years ago.

The announcement was made by Glenn Gumpel, President and CEO, Universal Studios Japan; Brad Globe, President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products; and Michael Silver, President, Global Business Development, Universal Parks & Resorts; as well as James and Oliver Phelps, who played the roles of Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.

Governor of Osaka Ichiro Matsui was the guest of honor at the announcement, which also hosted more than a hundred excited fans dressed in Harry Potter attire who screamed with delight when the announcement was made.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan is the result of the creative teamwork and efforts by Universal Studios Japan in conjunction with Warner Bros., which produced and distributed the Harry Potter films, and Universal Parks & Resorts, which oversees Universal Studios theme parks, hotels and resorts throughout the world.

It will be as magnificent and as impressive as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. Just as in Orlando, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan will faithfully and authentically bring to life the stories created by J.K. Rowling in her books and captured on screen in Warner Bros’ films.

“I was delighted to experience and enjoy the attention to detail, creativity and superb craft that went into the first Wizarding World in Orlando. I am equally delighted that the same level of expertise and enjoyment will translate to the new park in Japan,” said J.K. Rowling.

“Harry Potter, the most wonderful and amazing story of our time, is coming to Universal Studios Japan. USJ is thrilled to be chosen to make the Harry Potter experience come alive for the people of Japan. USJ is committed to being the world’s best Theme Park and by bringing this brilliant story to Japan and creating a fantastic experience is yet another validation of that commitment, “said Glenn Gumpel, President and CEO of USJ Co., Ltd

The themed area itself will be a fully immersive environment for the entire family that brings the stories of Harry Potter to life and is faithful to the visual landscape of the films, including a majestic Hogwarts castle which will serve as the centerpiece of the land.

“Harry Potter continues to captivate generations of fans around the world and we are delighted to announce this partnership with Universal Studios Japan that will allow us to bring the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to Asia,” said Brad Globe, President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

“Harry Potter allows fans to step into the magical world created in the books and witnessed in the films. We think this is the perfectly timed next step in bringing the magical world of Harry Potter to life for even more fans. ”

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan will be similar to the spectacularly themed land at Universal Orlando Resort and will include Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade and multiple themed attractions.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan will be created with the same commitment to authenticity and the same high level of talent and resources, including the creative leadership of Stuart Craig, Production Designer for the entire Harry Potter film series.

“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an entirely new level of themed entertainment that brings the stories of Harry Potter to life in incredible ways.

It will forever change tourism, not only in Kansai but throughout Japan. We are thrilled to be bringing one of the most powerful themed entertainment experiences of our time to Universal Studios Japan, marking the global expansion of this incredible phenomenon, and we are confident that guests will want to return again and again to fully experience all that this fantastic environment will have to offer, ” said Michael Silver, President, Global Business Development, Universal Parks & Resorts.

In June 2010, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort opened and became an instant, unprecedented hit. Since then, Warner Bros. and Universal Parks & Resorts announced that the themed area would be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, and also that the Orlando location would be significantly expanded. No specific details on either of these plans have yet been announced.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

J.K. Rowling announced on Thursday that she will be coming out with a new book for adults. However, it is reportedly “very different” from her famous Harry Potter series, and she has chosen the company Little, Brown to publish her book. Details like the release date, title, and genre of the book were not released. It is known that the ebook version will come out at the same time as the printed one, unlike the Harry Potter books.

The last book in the Harry Potter series came out in 2007, and Rowling has mentioned in the past few years that she was writing an adult book and a Harry Potter encyclopedia. Her Harry Potter series was published by Bloomsbury in Britain and Scholastic in the United States, but Rowling will now be working with the same publishing company that Stephenie Meyer used for her “Twilight” series.

Rowling stated, “Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series […] The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory, it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher. I am delighted to have a second publishing home in Little, Brown, and a publishing team that will be a great partner in this new phase of my writing life.”

Rowling’s agent, Neil Blair, said there had been no auction, but would not reveal any other financial details. “As her new book is for a different audience, and marks a new literary direction for her, it made sense to separate the two and for her new book to be launched by a different publisher,” her agent said.

Any book by the famous author is almost guaranteed to sell millions, though it would be a difficult feat for her new characters to have the same success as the exorbitantly popular Harry Potter, especially since she is switching from children’s books to adult books.

However, since the Harry Potter series had fans of all ages, she should have better success than other children’s book authors who have attempted to make the switch in the past. Rowling’s new publisher has been closemouthed about the details surrounding her book, but if she is starting a “new phase” in her career, then there will most likely be more than one publication to expect from the British author.

Rowling’s Edinburgh neighbor, Ian Rankin, is an author himself. He commented on Twitter Thursday that he believes Rowling wrote a mystery novel. He tweeted, “Wouldn’t it be funny if J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults turned out to be a crime story set in Edinburgh? My word, yes.”

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

For someone like myself, who thoroughly enjoys horror flicks, I have high expectations for such movies. I am usually afraid to spend my money, however, on scary movies in theaters. This is not because I find them too frightening, but because I almost always end up laughing more than screaming.

Hollywood horror flicks can tend to feature more nudity, sex and laughable attempts at scares then horror. Typically I prefer old-school horror films, with more chills than gore. Also, something with an interesting storyline that keeps you guessing as the movie goes on. Luckily, ‘The Woman in Black’ was just that.

*WARNING: Spoilers*

The film features a young father whose wife has recently passed away. Holding onto his job by a thread he must venture out to a small English village and sort through the legal paperwork of a recently passed away resident. From there a series of connected events begin to unfold, and a mystery about the town is revealed.

It stars Daniel Radcliffe in his first film since the Harry Potter series. I must admit at first it was slightly odd seeing him in such a different role; during the beginning I kept expecting to see a glimpse of his scar behind his shaggy head of hair. However, he does a good job of convincing you of his character, and after the first 5 minutes I was able to forget about Harry.

The other actors played their parts well, and I didn’t find anything to be too over the top or cheesy. Interestingly enough, IMDB states that Radcliffe actually casted his godson in the role of his son, so that the two would have more of an emotional connection on screen.

The way they shot the film also added to the character of the movie, and they used a more washed-out coloring when filming, steering clear of bright colors. It also features a large array of toy props, these are used to add to the creepy element, and IMDB also mentions that they were borrowed from a collector and are indeed original 19th century toys for children. These just make it clear that the film makers went to some lengths in order to produce a realistic setting, and visually intriguing film.

Yes, the movie does contain some typical ‘ghost story’ elements, and it has received bad reviews for that. However, they are placed at points in the movie in a way that keeps you guessing and intrigued in the developing plotline. Overall, ‘The Woman in Black’ was well worth the cost of the theater, and came with plenty of scares. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror movies.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

The nominations for the 2012 BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Film Awards have been announced, and French silent film The Artist leads the field with twelve nominations including one for Best Film.

BAFTA’s announcement of the nominees comes just days after The Artist and The Descendants swept the board at the 69th Annual Golden Globes Awards, and it seems likely that both films will experience similar success at Britain’s equivalent to the Academy Awards.

The two aforementioned films will go head-to-head in the categories of Best Film and Best Leading Actor (for Jean Dujardin and George Clooney), while their screenplays will each compete in the Original and Adapted Screenplay categories, respectively.

Other Golden Globes winners are included in this year’s nominations, namely: The Adventures of Tin Tin: The Secret of the Unicorn for Best Animated Film; Meryl Streep for her leading role as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady; and Octavia Spencer for Supporting Actress in The Help.

Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese, has been nominated for his directorial job with Hugo and will also be the recipient of this year’s BAFTA Fellowship, placing him in such Academy ranks as, Sir Charles Chaplin, Steven Spielberg, Dame Maggie Smith, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Dame Judi Dench – all of whom have received the Fellowship since Alfred Hitchcock’s special recognition in 1971 for “outstanding achievement in the art forms of the moving image. It is the highest honour the Academy bestows”.

Unsurprisingly, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, the conclusion to the most successful film series in box office history and one which helped elevate the British Film Industry during the 2000s, failed to pick up any nominations for its acting, directing or screenplay; however, it did earn a place on the shortlist for Best Make Up & Hair, Sound and Special Visual Effects.

The Harry Potter film series has had mixed success during awards season in the past, but it was thought that a last-minute promotional push from Warner Bros. might help Deathly Hallows Part 2 achieve some recognition from the major award voters this season.

Nevertheless, the BAFTA voters have acknowledged one British cinema hit: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Tomas Alfredson’s adaptation of the 1974 espionage thriller novel of the same name. Cast member Gary Oldman has been nominated for Best Leading Actor, while the film itself will vie for: Best Film, Best British Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Music, among several others.

The awards will be held on Sunday February 12 at London’s Royal Opera house, airing on BBC One, and will be hosted by Stephen Fry for the first time since 2006.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

Emma Watson and Johnny Simmons may be the perfect match. Watson and Simmons are co-stars in the upcoming film, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”.

People magazine said that Watson was seen with his supposed lover dining together and sharing kisses before entering the restaurant. Despite sources in media and press confirm the two stars are romantically involved, Emma Watson insisted that every rumour is untrue.

“This is completely untrue and we have no idea where these rumours have stemmed from,” Watson said according to Celebuzz. Harry Potter’s star also affirmed she just had a good friendship with her co-worker.

The entire buzz came up since they were seen hiking together in the Pennsylvannia countryside. Rumours began to increase while they were filming the movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stephen Chbosky.

Sources on the website hollywoodlife.com stated that both co-stars were actually in love, and they have reported unnamed sources saying that Emma Watson and Johnny Simmons “have really fallen for one another and both aren’t dating anyone else.”

Furthermore, the same sources on hollywoodlife.com affirmed Emma was thinking of moving to Los Angeles. Press began to create stories about Watson’s relationship after she claimed her non-existent love life in an interview with the Sunday Times:

“I say to my friends, “Why hasn’t X called me? Why doesn’t anyone ever pursue me?They’re like, probably because they’re intimidated,” Watson said.

In another interview with Vogue magazine, Watson said she used to share love advice with Daniel Radcliff, her co-star in Harry Potter. “It must be the fame wall. It must be the circus that goes around me. Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating,” Watson said.

It seems Watson has finally found a man “who isn’t terrified of her.” Johnny Simons and Emma Watson were spotted embracing in Los Angeles. Now there is no doubt the co-stars are involved as they were locked together in a romantic moment outside a restaurant in Santa Monica. More sources confirmed Johnny spent the night with Emma at the upmarket house in Santa Monica where she has been staying with friends.

A source said: “-‘they might have denied it before but they don’t seem to be trying to hide it now.”’-

Another friend of Watson’s said “Emma loves how down-to-earth and normal Johnny is. He’s very charming and sweet.”’-

Simmons has a past that is difficult to forget. He was arrested at 19 years old in May 2006 for going 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. Two days after that he was arrested again for being in a possession of alcohol below the legal age of 21. He received a lot of criticism when he played a drug addict in The Greatest.Despite this, a witness told The Daily Mail:

-“They were all over each other, kissing and hugging. It was very sweet to see. She looked utterly besotted. A girl recognised her and approached her.”-

-“Emma was polite and acknowledged her, but she just wanted to be with Johnny and was clearly under his spell. They’re obviously head-over-heels in love.”-

In spite of the rumours saying that Watson was thinking to move to Los Angeles, Harry Potter’s actress recently announced she will attend Oxford University this autumn in an exchange year from her studies at Brown University in the US.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young English girl named Emma Watson starred in the popular Harry Potter films and fought evil wizards with her wit and knowledge.

From a leading role in the highest grossing film series, Emma has landed the lead role in Guillermo del Toro’s remake of the Beauty and the Beast. This classic fairy tale has a moral meaning about not accepting what is on the surface (outer appearance) for reality and through the eyes of Del Toro, the film will be presented differently.

The Beauty and the Beast will be another great opportunity for Emma, who inspired to become an actress at 6 years old. Well trained in singing, dancing, and acting for years at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, she made her first professionally acting appearance in Harry Potter at age 9.

On the quest to defeat the evil, dark wizard Lord Volemort, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger were adolescent best friends that had shared adventures for the past 11 years in all eight Harry Potter films. Now that the record-breaking series of film has ended (production wise), Emma, at age 21, now has a chance to take advantage of other production opportunities.

According to ComingSoon.net reports, Del Toro is currently working on his (dark) version of Beauty and the Beast. The Academy Award nominated producer for Pan’s Labyrinth and also known for Blade II, Hellboy, Kung Fu Panda, and the new Crazy, Stupid, Love, Guillermo Del Toro is concurrently working on another star-packed film with Idris Elba, Charlie Day, and Charlie Hunnam called Pacific Rim. To be released on July 12, 2013, Pacific Rim depicts a war against aliens and Earth that is being fought by human ran robots.

Emma Watson is not waiting until the classic fairytale from Del Toro to continue working though. Later this year, she will appear in My Week with Marilyn and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which will be out in 2012. My Week with Marilyn, traces the interaction between Marilyn Monroe and the owner of Sir Laurence Olivier during the production of The Prince and the Showgirl.

While The Perks of Being a Wallflower tells the story of a shy freshman named Charlie that is introduced to the world of sex, drugs, and complicated relationships by his friends, Sam and Patrick.

As for now, there has been a limited details provided about the production of Beauty and the Beast. From being the most sought out horror director in Hollywood at the time, there is a high expectancy from Guillermo Del Toro’s projects.

“For who could ever learn to love a beast,” the narrator of the classic fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast, stated. The numbers at the box office will reflect the love of remake of the classic tale and the star-studded cast.

The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

So Harry Potter has not only conquered evil sorcerers and a tough academic experience at Hogwarts but he has also conquered audiences across North America.

The eighth and final film of the smash series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part II grossed over 25 million dollars in the country; this was made from the midnight run alone according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Harry Potter then marked a record by making $168.6 million in the U.S. and Canada in just three days, shattering the 3 day opening of the Dark Knight. “This was monumental, as it seems everyone wanted to be a part of the discussion, everyone wanted to say goodbye to dear friends, and everyone wanted to experience the magic on the big screen one more time,” stated Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations.

When the film premiered last weekend, fans made sure to dress appropriately Hogwarts style. They came in their best Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley costumes and had their proper wizard equipment. Each film has only gotten bigger and better than the last and caused an enormous growth of fans since the first film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001).

After days since its premiere, the film continues to be sold out in theaters all over the world, and is even being called a “pop-culture must-see.”
