Hamburg, Germany — With their first iPad app, the German start-up company Frankbooks enables users to communicate with other readers, as well as with the author or a particular character from the novel via an integrated Facebook plugin. Users can take part in the story and in return join a global reader’s circle within the app – which allows them direct access to the novel’s author.

This new way of social storytelling allows authors to create advanced narrative structures by combining some of their story’s character(s) with interactive Facebook accounts. In addition to this users can benefit from the e-book’s enhanced content (photos, maps, videos).

As well as to readers, the app will also appeal to authors considering similar projects, but who do not want to spend high amounts on programming. Using Frankbooks software, however, they will get the opportunity to participate in the fast-growing market of enhanced e-books at a reasonable price.

“Readers have become used to extra features besides the core text, such as interactivity and social media. Soon they will be a regular part of e-books,” says Frank Habbe, founder of Frankbooks.

The first e-book, Pocket Money, is a novel about a young man who accidentally comes into possession of a bag full of cash. On the run from his pursuers, his journey takes him through Northern Germany

The announcement of the iPad 2 is bringing tons of expectations. The Slogan for this new innovation is Thinner. Lighter. Faster. Facetime, Smart covers, 10HR battery. The Release date in the United States is on March 11^th, and its price starts up in $499.

Apple announced that it is exposing to the market a new device, the iPad 2! On March 25^th it would be launch simultaneously reaching 26 countries, many countries from the European Union, the U.K., Finland, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Hungary, Greece and many more. The company wants to expand its new product around many countries in the world as possible.

Compared to the previous iPad the new design possess lighter and thinner characteristics, and it wants to give its users the ability to have less in their hands, but more at their fingertips. Its producers are amazed by the way they have been able to improve the second iPad version making greater advances, and still having the ability to simplifying it.

It has been completely redesign in such a small period of time. IPad 2 is a 3rd thinner and 15% lighter; it has integrated a 2-side camera with HD resolution. It became more light and comfortable to have it in the hand by reducing one of the surface layers, narrowing the edge corners that the previous iPad had, that made it heavier.

The iPad has a cover, which adapts perfectly and hooks the iPad from its corners throughout a magnetism system, which helps protect the screen, and its material also maintains the screen clean. The cover is very flexible and docile so it allows using it in many ways. The design has the advantages of being more didactic, and simplified but at the same time its functionality increased. There are a lot of new applications, which are introduced into this new iPad, and this creates a closer relationship with a consumer by providing a fun experience. The price for acquiring the iPad 2 outside the United States has not been announced yet. Still the Apple Stores located world widely are not accepting the solicitation of any kind of pre-orders, or providing further details of the iPad 2 characteristics and functionalities. Users can only sing up for getting notifications and additional release details when the tablet is out to the market.
