October 2010 was a turning point in Demi Lovato’s promising trajectory. She dropped out of a massive concert tour with the Jonas Brothers after punching a back-up dancer while flying out of Colombia. Lovato, at the height of her career, was lost in the midst of bulimia, stress, and self-injury.

Record labels and artists sometimes fight their way through endless meetings to pick the track that will serve as the first single. Some other times it simply doesn’t work out the way they expected. This time, Lovato wanted everyone to see that she now stands fearless against rumors and detractors; she is healed, and ready to prove it.

“Skyscraper,” her first single in months, skyrocketed to the number one slot on iTunes within hours of its release, generating more buzz and talk than any other current song. The video, directed by Marc Pellington, was shot at Bonnevilla Sat Flats Desert in Utah, and features the young diva clad in pale hues, singing her heart out while trying to find her way.

She has been dubbed the best thing that came out of the Disney franchise since Christina Aguilera, whose talents have been cited as a strong influence in Lovato’s career. And that is a huge compliment in the era of auto-tune, where bombshells and buff Jersey-shore-like guys can camouflage their lack of talent to the beat of some repetitive mix.

Just like Christina Aguilera did back in 2002 with “Stripped,” which sold 12 million copies, Lovato’s new album, “Unbroken,” holds a heartfelt meaning, introspected reflections on her personal life, and lyrical maturity. “Unbroken” marks the natural transition from Disney girl into a beautifully imperfect soul.

Some lines bring you back to those sassy hints of Rihanna. Some other tunes resemble the emotional power of P!nk’s “Family Affair” when Demi Lovato sings about her family issues, and begs her dad to put the bottle down for the love of his daughter.

The new Lovato has awed fans, critics, and celeb friends who made the singer’s comeback album a trending topic on Twitter. “Unbroken” debuted within Billboard’s top five with impressive first week sales that might force the 19-year-old to go on tour now that her comeback has proven stellar.

She recently performed on numerous award shows to promote the record, including a Spanish rendition of  ”Skyscraper” at the Alma awards. Her second single, “Who’s That Boy?” and the fan-favorite, “Fix A Heart’” are set to become her new anthems. Meanwhile, Demi Lovato is rubbing shoulders with the music elite, only this time on a full stomach and with two tattoos that read Stay Strong on her wrists, a reminder that scars can be put behind.

The third annual Fashion’s Night Out took place on Thursday, September 8 in New York City. The evening brought jam packed fashion events to retail locations all around Manhattan. 2011’s Fashion Night Out was bigger than previous years, making it a celebrated highlight for the fashion industry.

More than 1000 stores around New York City participated in Fashion’s Night Out, which kicked off the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Not only was New York City a participant, but so were over 250 other cities across the United States. Created by Vogue’s editor Anna Wintour, Fashion’s Night Out has become an international sensation with countries around the world partaking in the event as well.

Retailers all across New York City stayed open later than usual for fashionistas to enjoy extended hours of shopping. Special events were seen throughout Manhattan. Celebrity appearances were a main highlight of the event. Located in the Meatpacking District, the grand opening of a new Intermix store welcomed Bravo’s reality TV star Rachel Zoe.

 The fashion stylist visited the boutique store to celebrate its opening. Those who wanted to shop in the famous Billionaire Boys Club on West Broadway were able to catch a glimpse of musically talented Pharrell Williams. The popular musician made an appearance at the store by working behind the cash register.

Daniel Radcliffe, widely known for his performance as Harry Potter in the movie series, arrived at Jeffrey New York for a guest appearance and had a meet and greet with people shopping in the store.

If Daniel Radcliffe wasn’t enough to entertain teeny boppers, throngs of excited teenagers gathered at Dolce & Gabbana to see international pop sensation Justin Bieber as he was also in attendance for Fashion’s Night Out.

Musical performances from the world’s most talented singers were also a large part of the evening. British singer Estelle performed at Diane von Furstenburg, while Queens rapper Nicki Minaj, a fashionistas herself, attended the launching of Yves Saint Lauren’s new Cabas Chyc handbag.

Lovers of the Jonas Brother’s lined up at Saks Fifth Avenue as musician Joe Jonas attended an event at the large New York City store. Not far from Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s on 34^th Street welcomed Kelly Rowland, who sang some of her solo songs.

For those who wanted to see hip hop superstar Drake, he was at Versace’s boutique on 5^th Avenue, mixing behind the DJ booth, giving shoppers energizing music as they browed through the store. Musicians were spread out across Manhattan for the special fashion occasion and made a strong presence during Fashion’s Night Out.

Along with a strong celebrity presence throughout the evening, retailers across the city also hosted unique and entertaining special events. Magnolia Bakery, famously introduced by the fashion forward HBO series “Sex and the City” made specialty fashion cupcakes for the occasion. Cupcakes were decorated with stylish purses and shoes.

All the money raised from the sales of these cupcakes was sent directly to New York City AIDs Fund in the Community Trust. The downtown location of Bloomingdale’s had a performance by Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of Billy Joel, as well as an opportunity to personalize underwear with rhinestones.

Fashion’s Night Out was a great alternative for fashion lovers across New York City who wanted to experience the events and excitement of Fashion Week.

Although attending fashion shows at the annual Fashion Week requires tickets, Fashion’s Night Out gave everyone a chance to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrities, sample finger foods, and sip on drinks as retailers across the city provided upbeat music, performances, and a trendy atmosphere to enjoy fashion.

Joe Jonas and his new album will bring a twist regarding his music style and his sex appeal.

The album named “Fast Life” will be released on October 2011.

In an interview with MTV, songwriter Claude Kelly, who has already composed previous songs for Joe Jonas, commented a little bit about the new Joe Jonas album and what should his fans expect from it.

“It’s gonna be good, absolutely, and that’s the fun part: to let fans figure it out and let them listen to it over and over and dissect those parts. So, I was blown away about how together he was on this record and how willing he was to take chances.”

Kelly also added that this album will focus also on Joe’s personal experiences, and past relationships. “My process when I go in with an artist is to ask them right off the bat, ‘What’s going on in your life?’ … and he hasn’t held back at all, He’s like, ‘I want to talk about this girl or how hot she is or we’re breaking up or we’re together.’ He’ll say it, and he’ll put his life in the song, which makes the best songs.”

But not only will the new album expose songs with meaningful lyrics, but it will also show a matured Joe, who has left his childhood behind and his freshlook reflects nothing less than a sex symbol.

Nelly added, “Obviously, he’s a sex symbol already, but he’s really gonna play into a sex-symbol role and get the girls on his side”

Joe Jonas is ready to bring it all and come up to the stage with a different look, meaningful songs, and also a revised music style. The songwriter exponed: “He’s doing edgier, more urban music. I’ve been working with [producer] Danja. It’s edgy, urban pop where he can showcase his voice in a way people haven’t heard him before. So, he’s singing more edgy things and the music is more mature, but fun still”.

And just to make a things a little bit more exciting, he also announced on Facebook, that he will be performing at the Britney Spears, Femme Fatale Tour. “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I’m performing at the Britney Spears concert in NJ on Aug 5. And get ready for Fastlife in stores October 11″.

So for all the fans out there, keep a hold on to your seats because this time Joe is coming with everything he has.
