October 12, 2012–  Joymax, leading online game developer and publisher widely known for longstanding quality titles including Silkroad Online and Digimon Masters, today unveiled the second major update to their fan favorite fantasy MMORPG, Knight Age. Arriving next week, Siege Warfare will add a new dimension to gameplay and present a new PVP challenge to players.

Siege Warfare: a colossal PVP battle between the Orders of Knights (Guilds) as they battle to take over a castle is the most intense PVP experience Knight Age has offered to date. These weekly skirmishes take place every Sunday, and leaders of each Order must apply for the chance to compete at nearby NPCs.

Orders must pool their gold resources together not only to be eligible for the fight, but also for position – bribes, known officially as bids – are taken by the Siege NPC and the highest “bidder” will win the closest spot to the castle. A closer spot does not guarantee victory: teamwork can overcome a less skilled Order, even if they are closer.

So, how does one become a victor? The warfare lasts an hour and it is up to the players to earn as many points within this allotted time. Points are earned by touching the Crystal – the longer a team maintains contact with the Crystal, the more points they are awarded. However, being in direct contact with the Crystal also leaves the Knights open to direct attacks. Fight or conquer? It is up to each Order to choose their war strategy.

The ultimate reward for winning the Siege is becoming the Lord of Tintagel Castle. Not only are all members of the winning Order of Knights given access to this exclusive fortress, the leader controls all taxes placed upon the people in the Knight Age world. Their choice to increase or lower taxes will directly affect the in-game economy.

Higher taxes may depress the economy and heighten all item prices, though lower taxes may provide poor income, so finding a good balance will be a challenge. Inside Tintagel Castle is also an exclusive merchant found nowhere else in the kingdom, who sells high level items found only inside Tintagel. These rewards can be used to defend their keep during the next Siege Warfare, when the castle once again becomes neutral territory.

Why level up your character’s Social Network? For the abilities you can’t find anywhere else. As a player raises their Social Network Level players will unlock skills such as Auto-Warp, which allows players to teleport instantly to any of the Social Network connections.

The ultimate goal is to knock the top tier Miracle skill. Performing a Miracle on one of your close allies resurrects them instantly with no penalties – removing the damage in armor and weapon durability and eliminating the status effect normally induced by resurrection. So, if the player parties with their best buddies, the player won’t need to worry about falling in battle and vice versa. It’s a win-win situation which players should definitely take advantage of.

Seoul, Korea – On September 28, Joymax, an online game developer and publisher widely known for Silkroad Online and Digimon Masters, revealed key features of its unique guild system for the recently launched free-to-play, fantasy MMORPG with unique riding action, Knight Age. This in-depth look comes on the heel of Knight Age’s first major update since its recent successful launch.

The game also boasts a special feature; “Order of Knights.” This is Knight Age’s guild system, but it’s not your ordinary guild system; the Order of Knights features guild level-ups, guild skills and even guild wars. Players at level 10 can start the Order of Knights, but the battle is just beginning to become the best.

Here’s an in-depth look at the Order of Knights:

Guild Level – Each Order of Knights is given a guild level where players can work on leveling up, and all Order of Knights are given the usual features and skills of shared guild storage or warp system (where guild members can warp to each other’s locations). As the guild level grows, Order of Knights is given larger storage and an increased number of spots to recruit more guild members. This is useful especially for gaining experience points, as every guild member playing online boosts the EXP buff that all guild members share. But the most exciting skills are unlocked once a guild level rises to higher levels.

Guild Skill – As the Order of Knights level grows higher, players will find there are up to 50 different special guild skills to unlock. These guild skills will affect every guild member and will range from higher EXP gain to higher gold drops. Ultimately, there is a skill for healing all of the guild members at once. So, how does the Order of Knights level up?  The only means is by battling with other Order of Knights in a guild war.

So, on to Guild PVP – Guild PVP is the battle between two Orders of Knights and, aside from proving which Order of Knights is better, winning a PVP will earn points to level up your guild level. Each guild PVP begins with a challenge letter to the opposing Order of Knights and the war begins once accepted. Lasting from three to thirty days, the two Orders of Knights will be marked as an enemy to each other. For every fallen opponent, points are stacked and ultimately the guild with the highest points wins the round.

Among the myriad changes, the first content patch includes new boss pupae (unique pets) for players to collect. To celebrate the arrival of the new boss pupae, Joymax is kicking off a slew of events for players to explore.
