When choosing where to stay on the Las Vegas Strip, location is a top priority. The Imperial Palace is the most centrally located hotel and casino on the Las Vegas strip and is easily accessible from the airport due to the short distance by shuttles and taxis. The building consists of a casino, shopping, multiple towers of hotel rooms, a spacious pool, and lots of new construction opportunities.

The shops are open most hours of the day. Many are open past midnight, and some are open 24 hours a day. They sell great souvenirs, as well as necessities, at very reasonable prices. The location of the shops is throughout the main hallway, providing convenient places to pick up some items.

As for eating, great restaurants, delis, and bars overshadow the common buffet. The famous Hash House a Go Go is located on its own floor in the Imperial Palace. You may have seen this restaurant on an episode of Man vs. Food, Rachel Ray’s Vacation, and many others. The restaurant is known for their “twisted farm food” and provides huge food selections for breakfast, lunch, and supper with large portions. They also have a full bar that creates unique drinks, too. When waiting for your table, you are able to see the memorabilia of famous people from all over the United States who have enjoyed their food and posed for, or signed, images for the restaurant.

As for other specialty eating places, the Imperial Palace’s Betty’s is an in-house deli that has a menu of smaller portions and more basic food options, such as cold sandwiches, pizza, and salads. Fat Tuesday’s are located throughout the strip, and the one located at the Imperial Palace lives up to their fun atmosphere and great drinks. There are all sorts of daiquiris, mixed drinks, and really fun glasses at all of the locations.

They are open almost 24 hours a day, depending on the day of the week. Another great part to this bar is that they give you $1-off coupons for your refill. There is no way you can have just one. There are only drinks available at this daiquiri bar, but definitely worth it. While sitting in the area of the bar, it is located where people are constantly passing by or ordering drinks, which is great for meeting new people and seeing the ever energetic Las Vegas tourists.

Probably the most unique part to the Imperial Palace is the car collection they have, called The Auto Collections. It is the world’s largest classic car collection, with the option to buy for most of the cars. The cars are continuously changing, meaning there are new cars to view each time you go there. Cars not for sale include cars belonging to Elvis, Johnny Carson, and President John F. Kennedy. The cars that are for sale are just as unique as the unavailable ones, such as the Shelby GT 500, named “Eleanor,” from the ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ movie.

The Imperial Palace is working hard to renovate the building, but the core opportunities and attractions currently available are amazing. The hotel rooms suffice for living quarters, are reasonably priced, and safe. However, there is no way you can put a price on the location. Even if you are not staying at the Imperial Palace, it is worth making a trip just for the food at the Hash House a Go Go. The Imperial Palace is a great option for your next stay in Las Vegas.

The Venetian and Palazzo are two separate buildings and companies which complement each other well, as both belong to the world’s largest five-diamond rated hotel and resort complex in the world.

They are located on what is best known as the Strip, or Las Vegas Boulevard, and tower over buildings around them. The Palazzo is connected to the Venetian and is a gorgeous hotel. The Venetian creates an atmosphere of being in Venice, while simultaneously being a full-amenity building for gambling. However, that is not all. Together, the two create the perfect atmosphere for living outside the box, even for the Las Vegas Strip.

To elaborate on the statement of “living outside the box,” one example includes the opportunity to enjoy a gondola ride, both inside and outside of the Venetian. Since the Venetian is set up to look as if you are walking around Venice, the option of riding in a gondola just tops it all off. For a small fee, you are able to ride through the indoor or outdoor canals while enjoying the musical talent of the gondolier. The gondola comfortably holds four, allowing most visitors to ride together. It is definitely a one-of-a-kind option on the Las Vegas strip that will make you want to take pictures throughout the 10 to 13-minute ride.

As for what else indoor Venice has to offer, it includes a large amount of shops and art galleries, creating the inspiring and artistic feeling you would feel observing Italy. The shops include plenty of jewelry, purses, hats, and clothing stores, including lots of famous designers.

Once you are hungry from the gondola ride and shopping, you can enjoy a variety of restaurants that belong to incredible chefs, such as Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck, and Emeril, to name a few. A favorite restaurant, which belongs to Batali, is called Otto. This restaurant specializes in pizza, but also includes pasta and meats, as well as a menu full of wines and other drinks. The pasta noodles are rolled and made daily, like all the other items on the menu.

The staff is great and very accommodating and professional. They make sure your visit is comfortable by giving you their undivided attention throughout your meal. There is a courtyard show that plays on the hour every hour, as well as statues, building fronts, and a brick courtyard that creates the perfect atmosphere to sit and enjoy eating in the replicated outdoors of Venice.

The Blue Man Group, “Phantom of the Opera,” and various comedy acts, such as David Spade, are housed in the Venetian, while the Palazzo houses various shows too. The Palazzo includes great shopping, as well as an eye-catching central waterfall and changing flower exhibits. Although there are more activities to do at the Venetian, the Palazzo has great restaurants as well.

Don’t forget there is also time for gambling and sleeping between the Venetian and Palazzo. The outside of the two buildings houses a structure for you to marvel over, as well as changing decor and landscaping. The buildings are breathtaking and make you feel as if you have found the perfect escape from the normal life you live.

While in Las Vegas, the heat can get to you no matter what time of the year. Minus 5 lets you escape that, and enjoy a few drinks as well. Minus 5’s name easily states what the bar is like; 5 degrees below zero Celsius.

Every single thing in the bar is made of ice. The seating, tables, bar, walls, chandeliers, and the glasses you will use are all made from Canadian ice. In order to enjoy the cold and temperature change, you have to work your way through different rooms consisting of lower temperatures than the outside of the bar, to keep the bar’s twenty-three degree temperature from being drastically shocking. The same types of rooms are used when you leave the bar so the temperature change is comfortable once you are done enjoying the ice.

The bar originated in New Zealand, while there are two new locations on the Las Vegas Strip. The location at Monte Carlo is larger than the location at Mandalay Bay, yet both are equally as amazing. The bars’ environment is very laid back, and a bar to well, chill at, rather than dance or party. There is a wide variety of music playing, but not dance club music. It is a fun bar to socialize. The same service is provided at both, and you get the best experience no matter which one. They are both located within the two different casinos at accessible locations that make the transportation to the bars stress-free.

How do you go about hanging out in a bar like Minus 5? Before you enter the bar, you have package options to chose from to cope with the temperature change.

Depending on how much you want to spend, you can pay for a parka or a fur coat. The two options are longer coats, so you can cover most of your body. Both look good with the boots and gloves you wear throughout your time inside. The fur coats come in both black and white, while the parkas are blue. Both are equally as warm, but the fur coat is just one more way to live it up while in Las Vegas.

You will want to choose the warmest clothes as possible, especially if you plan to drink a lot, or just hang out for an extended amount of time. There are also different amounts of drink vouchers to choose from, but you can purchase more drinks inside.

Since you are not allowed to bring in any phone or camera to capture the experience, keyed lockers are provided to store your belongings. There is a great professional photographer willing to take pictures for you. Some of the package options include a photo, but either way you can view and purchase your photo of choice. Everyone looks fabulous with ice as his or her background. There are also fun ice sculptures of either snowmen, elves, the Las Vegas sign, or the ever-changing theme. Recently, this was the Olympics.

As for the future of Minus 5, there are more locations that will be opening, including in New York City. No matter the location, Minus 5 provides a unique and incredible experience for their guests.

Bellagio is a hotel and casino centrally located on the Las Vegas strip that is known for a variety of activities and sites. For most, it may be known as the home of the Cirque du Soleil aquatic show, or the musically synchronized fountains. But this Italian themed hotel and casino has so much more to offer.

While visiting the Bellagio, you will encounter a variety of décor and general atmospheres due to these various unique attractions. As soon as you enter the front doors, you immediately see the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, whose theme changes five times a year, involving thousands of employees and even more flowers.  When you walk through, you feel as if you are as small as a bug entering a vast and articulate garden. You forget you are in the middle of a casino on the Las Vegas strip.

Once you are done enjoying a bug’s life, you are able to head over to see the world’s largest and tallest chocolate fountain. The fountain is twenty-seven feet tall, and consists of three different types of chocolate.  Watching this beauty puts you into the perfect mood to enjoy some chocolate at the Jean-Philippe Patisserie. This bakery makes a wide variety of the finest chocolate pastries, as well as gelato and other sweets.

Since you are already treating yourself to some sweets, why not step on over to the Bellagio Salon? The Salon & Spa includes all sorts of pampering options, including make up, hair styling, manicures and pedicures, massages, waxing and specialty packages. The salon allows for a great way to relax and feel rejuvenated, whether you are in Vegas for work or fun.  The employees are wonderful professionals and are there to assist you in every way possible, including getting drinks for you.

There are amazing restaurants to enjoy as well, including Olives. Olives is the perfect location to enjoy amazing food, like their flat breads, while looking out onto the Bellagio fountains. The fountains go off every half hour, providing a great show throughout any meal. Olives’ low lighting and fine dining creates a romantic environment where you can forget the place is a busy tourist attraction.

Although there are all these other options at the Bellagio, you can’t forget about the real reason for the hotel and casino: gambling. There are many different games to choose from. It is also a great environment for gambling: gorgeous décor with rich colors, elegant flair and perfect service.

If you prefer to spend your money in other ways, there is an array of shops to enjoy as well.

Overall, plenty of time should be set-aside on your next vacation for the Bellagio. Other attractions include a huge, gorgeous pool for the tourists and business services for others in Vegas for work. There is so much to see and do for all ages.

If you are in need of a getaway anytime of the year, Las Vegas is the place to go. Las Vegas shows their tourist the lifestyle everyone expects in the United Sates; “you want it, we have it” opportunities. The city is full of hotel-casino combinations that allow you to have all you could need within a small radius. The sun is always shining (average 300 days of sunlight per year), but if it’s cloudy no worries, the city lights will be bright enough for you.

Las Vegas caters to all types of people, whether you are into theater, music, art, gambling, shopping, fine dining, business conventions, or just being entertained. All sorts of bars, casinos, restaurants, or venues are in Las Vegas, either on the Las Vegas strip or not too far away.

Although Las Vegas is a huge tourist attraction, there are a great number of residents who find the city and surrounding area home. According to www.lasvegasnevada.org, the city of Las Vegas’s population 606, 656 while Clark County as a whole is home to 2,036,358 residents.

Do not let “CSI: Las Vegas” scare you about violence and crime; there are a few statistics to help you feel relief. According to www.neighborhoodscout.com, Las Vegas is safer than 16 percent of cities in the United States.

Meanwhile, www.lvrj.com posted a news article this year stating that due to the police departments’ 2009 Domestic Violence Lethality Assessment program, the police have been able to reduce local crime in five major categories, including homicides, robberies, auto thefts, traffic fatalities, and sexual assault, and all hold a positive outlook for the future.

The people of Las Vegas want the tourists; they will try and keep your visit the safest and greatest experience yet. www.clsearch.com produced a document in 2010 ranking the quality of life of Las Vegas and Nevada compared to the United States. With the United States holding a consistent 100 ranking, Las Vegas and Nevada are comparative.

Las Vegas had a ranking of 174, while Nevada was 120 compared to the U.S.’s 100. While having a greater number for the quality of life, the two also held higher for the quality of amusement. No surprise there, Nevada held 176 while Nevada was 135 compared to the 100 of the United States ranking. The index just goes to prove how Nevada is a place to go to have fun and enjoy life; specifically in Las Vegas.

The Strip holds a lot of entertainment and accommodations, as do the surrounding areas. The Strip is four miles long, so walking is the best transportation option and creates a very convenient way to see all the drastically different casinos along the street. Just like the variety of venues and entertainment, there is a variety of types of transportation too.

There are 29 casinos along the 4 mile stretch, while there are 77 total in Las Vegas.
