In her verse for Drake’s “Make Me Proud,” Nicki Minaj boasted: “The best legal team, so the deals is ill/It’s M.A.C., OPI and a fragrance, too/Apparel, I’m dominating every avenue.” Well, the animated hip-hop artist certainly wasn’t making those proclamations for her own health. Minaj is quickly becoming a beauty industry powerhouse.

On November 26, 2010, Minaj released her first M.A.C. lipstick in the shade Pink Friday, to coincide with the release of her debut album, also titled “Pink Friday.” She later released another lipstick, Viva Glam Nicki, as a part of M.A.C’s Viva Glam 2012 Campaign. Viva Glam is a line of lipsticks created to raise funds assisting men, women and children living with AIDS. Since its inception, the M.A.C. AIDS Fund has raised more than $200 million for their cause.

Nicki then released her OPI collection at the beginning of 2012. The collection was made up of a total of six polishes—three cream polishes, two glitter polishes and one shatter polish. The polishes were named after Nicki’s album and song titles. Pink Friday is in Nicki’s favorite color, Did It On ‘Em is a lovely shade of chartreuse, Fly is teal, Metallic 4 Life features a black base color with silver flecks of glitter, Save Me features a clear base color with blue glitter and the Super Bass Shatter is a darker shade of pink than Pink Friday, and also has glitter in it.

Most recently, Minaj released the advertisements for her fragrance, Pink Friday. Last month when she first released the official images of the bottle, which is a smaller version of her dipped in gold and wearing a white bustier, she described the smell of the fragrance as “angels playing.” It has since been noted that the fragrance will smell like a mixture of creamy vanilla, juicy fruits and sensual musk.

So, what’s next on Queen Minaj’s to-do list? A clothing line, of course! Minaj has always been able to generate much conversation and debate regarding her fashion choices. While fashion critics may not understand her style, the Barbz love it. Since it is the opinion of the Barbz, and the Barz only, that matter, it is quite befitting that Minaj would give them a collection made in her likeness. Of the brand Nicki has stated that her “biggest goal was to make a line that was going to be affordable to my fans and also rich enough in quality that they’ll feel like they’re wearing exactly what I’m wearing.” All of the Barbz, male and female, will be catered to with this “Harajuku Barbie” collection.

Negrita is one of the most influential Italian rock bands since the 90’s, and it is currently composed of Pau (Paolo Bruni), Drigo (Enrico Salvi), Mac (Cesare Petricich) and Franky (Francesco Li Causi).

After three years of absence from the music scene, the band released their tenth album on October 25 this year, which seems to be similar to the older sounds that used to characterize the group. Negrita, initially got its success playing music similar to American classic rock. Furthermore one of the main characteristics of the group has always been the deepness of the lyrics, which goes along with all the band’s records.

After the release of the album “Ehi! Negrita” (the title is a tribute to the song “Hey! Negrita” by the Rolling Stones, the song which originally inspired the band’s name), Negrita opened the sonorities to the influence of Latin rhythm and sounds in the records. This new musical approach was not appreciated by many of their older fans who claimed the band changed their vision of music too much to still represent them.

On the other hand, a different target of people were attracted by those new musical tones, resulting in a gold disc for “L’uomo sogna di Volare”, one of their most recent albums. Nevertheless, with their brand new album “Dannato Vivere” the band now seems to be back to more properly rock oriented sounds.

Even if it smells like a coming back to the origins, it is possible to find a further development of Negrita’s sound, which now opens a window onto the British sonorities pertaining to the 70’s and the 80’s. “Dannato Vivere” is characterized by very intriguing lyrics like the band’s previous records, but which differ a bit in content this time, resulting in something that is more dramatic.

Due to the personal experiences of some of the components of the group, the message of the album comes out dark, although accompanied by a touch of hope, and it arrives to the listener very honestly. It is a description of the sufferings of a man’s soul. It walks on the line of desperate feelings but with a touch of positive attitude, which makes the album introspective instead of depressing.

The message of the lyrics is also well expressed by the musical nature of the songs which perfectly follow the theme. The challenge now for Negrita is to win back their old fans who were disappointed by the band’s previous music experiments, while keeping the new fans amused.

They seem to be on the right path, as “Dannato Vivere” has already entered the second place of the FiMi list of bestselling records shortly after its release. The band also announced an upcoming tour starting next January. Live shows surely are one of the greatest qualities this band has. A Negrita concert, indeed, is not only a spicy play through of the records.

Attending a Negrita concert is like going to the theatre to see Shakespeare. Everything on the stage melts together in a sort of powerful perfection: music, lyrics, speeches, and, most of all, the dynamics of the band’s movements and interactions during the concert.

This is not limited to the stage, though. Those attending the concert, indeed, feel like a full part of the play that is going on in the arena. Negrita has a particular power to move everything and create a perfect spiral of music where the fan results in being the center and not the spectator. This is surely an experience to be lived by any fan, as well as music lovers.

1. Multi-Touch Gestures

Now Lion can count on multi-touch. There are touch track paths, which allow a physical realism never seen before. The user can swipe windows, and use the fingers as the primordial control tool.

There will not be scroll bars anymore, just by using the fingers, and tapping, they help expand and zoom-in the content. A double tap with the fingers will be a smart zoom. It is more comfortable instead of closing windows; you just swipe the windows to go back to previous searches.

2. Full Screen Apps

Every pixel wants to be used, and take in advantage.  Now the new software allows full screen applications.  There will be an icon on the top left side of the window where you can click on full screen option.

This option brings a better, nicer, and cleaner view. The user normally has a lot of things going on in the desktop, and this simplifies a way to get across all these different activities by providing a sight of all the things desktop, dashboard, windows etc.

3. Mission Control

With a simple gesture you can get a vision control. You can zoom out and zoom in and see multiple desktops, multiple screens running. You have also a window just for your dashboard widgets. You can set up new desktops, create clean spaces, and drag the windows wherever you want.

4. Mac App Store

Best place to purchase and discover new software applications. It is incredible, but now the Mac App Store has overcome previous software stores such as Wall mart, Best Buy, and Office Depot, and has become the number one place for buying software.

Mac apps have been a big hit for large and small developers.

5. Launch pad

This will allow to launch an application with a simple gesture, a pinch motion.

It will provide an instant view of all the applications. You can create folders and organize your applications however you want.

6. Resume

Now when you run an application and you quit, it brings you back where you were. If you restart the computer Lion will bring you back to the work environment exactly as you left it.

7. Auto save

Lion now automatically saves the work for you. If you zoom in the title, you can revert to last opened documents, chose lock option to create templates. Duplicate and create a second document so you can start working on a duplicate.

8. Versions

Its saves all the versions of documents you are working with. It is an efficient storage technique. The users have more freedom to position windows however they want. When you quit you won’t be ask to save the document. I save exactly the state of how you were working. It brings back exactly how you left it, is a perfect restore. Also, you have a timeline exposing all the different version of your document, and you can easily review any of them.

9. Airdrop

Airdrop is a peer-to-peer WIFI- base network. This will be the easiest way to share anything you want with other Lion users. You open the airdrop application and you can see yourself in a folder and it also shows the people who are using airdrop.

10. Mail

Finally, Mail application comes in a better format and more organized. The design is more optimized. There are full height message windows, and message snippets. A great feature is the Conversation View, which now there is a new conversation view that shows all the messages just the way they were sent and replied.
