It’s James Bond’s 50th anniversary and the 23rd Bond film’s reviews are mixed. ‘Skyfall’ is Daniel Craig’s third Bond movie, rising from the ashes of the disaster movie ‘Quantum of Solace.’ ‘Skyfall’ depicts Bond as more of a vulnerable character rather than the killing machine other directors have portrayed him as. However, the plot also has very clear flaws which make this review mixed, since the actors were so phenomenal.

For many, the best part of ‘Skyfall’ was within the first fifteen minutes because they were  fast paced and action packed. The plot then slowly starts to deteriorate. Although it is obvious the director tried to take a new approach by portraying Bond as somber and melancholic, the audience could not help comparing him to other Bonds, which could be one reason this movie has been getting such mixed reviews. Since this is part of a world-famous series, some aspects must be maintained and held to certain standards. Needless to say the characterization of the main character should be one such standard.

‘Skyfall’ did adhere to several Bond expectations, like the ever-present M, extreme action, the Bond girl, and the menacing villain being one step ahead of Bond.  Judy Dench continued to play the role of M to perfection and the action was adequate. The girl played by Naomie Harris was disappointing. Luckily the villain played by Javier Bardem more than made up for Harris’ inadequacy. Bardem was an absolutely terrifying archenemy that seemed to lurk at every corner.

‘Skyfall’ revolved around Bond’s mission to make sure a computer drive with a list of  British agents did not end up in the wrong hands. Typically, Bond must chase and fight the bad guys at every turn, and gets accidentally shot  by another agent. Believed to be dead, Bond does not show his face for months, and instead investigates who is behind the catastrophic list. He discovers it is a man from M’s past who is out for revenge against her and anyone associated with her.

The main problem with this movie is the unbelievable plot. Bond gets shot, falls over one-hundred feet, and ends up at the bottom of a fifty-foot water fall. These statistics alone are not feasible, and there is no effort to explain how Bond survived. One of these instances would have called for a plausible explanation, but this trifecta is left unanswered. Although Bardem played the villain spectacularly, his plan and reasoning seemed to be off. He is super powerful and all-knowing, yet his plans involve several hoops to jump through when he could have taken more of a direct route to get to Bond and M. Even though the cinematography, action, and actors were phenomenal, the plot holes are too large to ignore in this movie.

‘Pinkmin 2 Selects’ is a re-re-release of the popular Nintendo classic and is a greatest hits release of the re-release of ‘Pinkmin 2′ for the Wii.

‘Lollipop Chainsaw’ is a new take on the zombie “beat ‘em up” genre, led by SUDA 51. The story, written by James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead), is about Juliet Starling fighting off hoards of zombies at her school, San Romero High, with the living head of her boyfriend. The GameStop pre-order exclusive includes the alternate costume Ashley Williams from the Evil Dead Series.

Just like the PS3 and Xbox 360 release, the ‘Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection’ is a high-definition remake of Metal Gears 2 and 3 for the PS Vita.

‘Lego Batman 2′ is a sequel to the popular Lego Batman game, but this time, players have the opportunity to play as other DC super heroes, as players fight off minions of the Joker and Lex Luthor and, like the other games in the Lego series, players have the option to drop in and out for co-op play.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is a return to the Spider-Man movie tie-in games, and like the movie it is based on, this is going to be an attempt to revive the series after the abysmal failure that was Spider-Man 3 the movie/game as well as the lack luster standalone Spider-Man games.

‘Pokemon Conquest’ takes Pokemon battles and adds a new twist to it. Instead of the turn-based combat in a typical Pokemon game, it now has a tactical RPG combat system, where the player controls his team of Pokemons on a battlefield while defeating other warlords and having them join your party in conquest of the Pokemon Kingdom.

‘The Secret World’ is a very unique MMO that has done something almost no MMO has ever done. ‘The Secret World’ takes place in the modern world and is based on every myth, legend, and conspiracy that exists in this world. Players are thrown into the game with a clean slate. You play the game the way you want; there are no classes or leveling in the game. Players make their own decisions on what their characters will become, and they can choose the abilities that they want. This is definitely one of the more unique MMOs to come out this year.

‘Guild Wars 2′ is the long awaited sequel to the MMO ‘Guild Wars’. ‘Guild Wars 2′ features dynamic events that change as time progresses, and the events the players participate in affect other events in the game. ‘Spec Ops: The Line’ is a third person shooter that will attempt to give players a truly brutal war experience. As the player leads their delta squad through the remains of a destroyed Dubai, the players will be thrown into a unique battle zone of sand, sand, and more sand. This detailed focus on the in-game sand mechanics offers a very unique experience in desert combat. Players will be fighting their way through gunfights that take place through intense sandstorms as well as sand avalanches. This is indeed true desert combat at its core.

Once again Twitter becomes the official source of legitimate information about our favorite celebrities. Hunted by rumors, Rihanna took it to her Twitter account to confirm, much to everyone’s surprise, that she is in fact working on a new album that will drop sometime this fall.

Rihanna’s words have caught everybody by storm, given that her latest album was released less than a year ago. ‘Loud’, which is also the name of her international tour, came out last November to immediate chart success, topping the music lists with singles like ‘Only Girl’, ’What’s My Name?’ and the controversial ‘S&M’.

After 44 weeks on the charts, ‘Loud’ is still way ahead of records released around the same time last year, selling strong and delivering new singles while Rihanna’s hectic tour schedule keeps her busy. But some people are wondering, why rush a new album out when the current one is doing so well?

After a not-so-successful record, some artist put out new music to prevent fans from ditching them for fresher musical options, especially in the era of internet where record sales are declining and Youtube is the best promotional window. But this doesn’t seem like a problem for RiRi, as their fans lovingly refer to her, whose songs keep going through the roof.

Concerts, merchandising products and endorsements have replaced album sales as the main chunk of a popstar’s salary. The more hits you score, the more entertaining the repertoire, the bigger venues and pricier tickets. Artists like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or Rihanna herself played to small venues and opened for bigger acts until they had cooked up enough hits to build up an arena set-list.

On the other hand other performers take long breaks in between records to focus on other not-less-profitable adventures such as Gwen Stefani, whose 150$ million clothing empire has become a fashion reference, or Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez who re-engaged audiences as the diva-in-the-room on The Voice and American Idol.

Rihanna’s many business ventures include the creation of her first perfume, an endorsement with Nivea and a role in the upcoming science fiction naval war movie where a fiercer side of the Barbadian songstress will be shown. In 2010, the artist and her manager parted ways and a new company ,Rihanna Entertainment, was founded to also represent side projects.

It has been six years since Rihanna rose to fame and her hectic career has so far been full of controversy. While she is the youngest performer to ever place 10 songs at number one in the US charts, her performances have been labeled as raunchy and her videos always stir up criticism, making the most conservative audiences steer away from her sexy moves.

But it was her rocky relationship with fellow R&B musician Chris Brown that put Rihanna in a very vulnerable place. After it was made public that Chris beat up his famous girlfriend, headlines stalked the Umbrella singer to the extreme. It was one of her toughest moments, as she later revealed, but she overcame the traumatic incident and unleashed her most heartfelt and personal emotions through her music.

When asked about the album’s style by one of her fans on Twitter, Jay-Z’s protégé responded that the record would be gangster so we’ll probably enjoy some hot collaborations with her peers Kanye West and Eminem, or even a long-awaited duet with BFF Katy Perry. Whether she goes gangster or stays dance-hall queen, there’s one thing clear about Rihanna, she’ll be taking no breaks.

Her new single ‘We Found Love’  is supposed to hit radio stations soon.

This mexican band needs no introduction.The most important spanish rock band, is writing down new pages in the music history’s continuous book.  With the release of their brand new album, Mana is breaking down the most important music list around the world.

According to Billboard Top Latin Album, Mana reached # 1 on the selling list.
“Drama & Luz” (Drama and Light) became the top-selling album of the year.

Is this a surprise for you? It really shouldn’t be.

Even though it has just been released, this new Mana’s album is making enormous selling data.  The álbum went platinum in Argentina and reached more than 5 million downloads in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile.In Spain and the USA, Drama y luz is at the top of the selling lists and by next June Mana will be on tour.

Their singles “Lluvia al corazón” (Rain to the heart) and “Amor clandestino” (Clandestine love) appeared this year in Billboard’s “Hot Latin Songs” list.

It undoubtedly is a good year for Mana. Their international tour starts on June 16th in Puerto Rico. It will then take them across all the USA (L.A., Miami, Boston…) until they arrive in Spain on September 9th.

According to Love Our Children USA, bullying is one of the most persistent problems in America’s schools today.

It usually affects to 12-13 years old teenagers and it’s related to a physical or psychic mistreat witch, in some cases, even causes suicide.

The battering topic, unfortunately, is in the top of the list of parent’s and teacher’s worries and all kind of artists are getting involved with it.
50 Cent is one of those artists who, writing, fights against this issue.

Bullying is the main topic of his next novel, titled “Playground”,  a semi-autobiographical novel that analyze how a kid becomes a bully.
With his third novel, 50 Cent is willing to discourage bullying and make a guide for his teenage son and other adolescents.

He’s childhood will serve to contextualise a problem that, according to National Institutes of Health, affects to 1 of every 4 kids in the US.
Remember: the release is scheduled in January of 2012. We will se if, as MTV sais, this new book hits the shelves.

No Doubt is coming back!!! The band is back together, and will be releasing a new album later this year. Gwen Stefani has left her solo career to join the band again, and they’ll be releasing their colorful music all over again. This will be their first album since 2004. This album will be the band’s seventh studio release.

According to No Doubt’s website, they have written nine songs so far, and they are extremely excited to release them. No Doubt is mostly remembered for their hit songs, including “Just a Girl,” “Rock Steady,” “Running,” “New,” “X-Girlfriend,” and “Simple Kind of Life.”

The lead singer, Gwen Stefani was 17-years-old when she started working in the band. She was actually mopping floors at a Dairy Queen before she made it big.

The band’s first album came out in 1992 where No Doubt became one of the most well-known bands in the United States. They became especially become successful when their album “Tragic Kingdom” came out in 1997. Their hits on this album included “Just a Girl,” “Spiderwebs,” and “Don’t Speak.” What made No Doubt so special was how unique they were.

They were a band with men on drums and the guitar, but a girl was the lead singer. And although their band had rock music in it, they could almost be considered pop…just almost. Plus, Gwen Stefani’s flashy voice gave the music a great pitch for a great listen. “Just a Girl” had a chromatic charm that led the song to become one of the most popular songs of the decade.

You can actually hear this tune in certain chick-flicks like ”Clueless” and “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.” “Return to Saturn” was also an album that represented the band as colorful and picturesque. The song, “New” was something to listen to at nighttime, but when there are random colors spread all over a big city.

Even lesser known songs like “Artificial Sweetener” showed a jazzy and vibrant side to No Doubt. As the band progressed, Gwen Stefani did too. She created her own album, “Love Angel Music Baby.” When the hit, “What You Waiting For” came out, fans were dancing all over the place. Gwen also made a bizarre yet fun music video with her struggling to make it as a singer, then all of a sudden she appears in “Alice in Wonderland.”

Although she wasn’t in her band at the time, Gwen still knew how to be colorful. “Rich Girl” had a pirate ship and “Hollaback Girl” had Gwen dancing and dressing up like a teenager, showing that after plenty of success as well as marriage and kids, Gwen Stefani knew exactly how to keep in touch with her inner adolescent. No Doubt has done plenty of tours over the years, and they’ll hopefully be doing it again with their newest album, scheduled to come out this fall.

Two of their songs will be called “One More Summer” and “Settle Down.” And according to “Rolling Stone,” their new album is going to be “catchy and addictive.”

After 12 years, there is a new Muppet movie coming to theaters this Thanksgiving. The Muppets, directed by James Bobin (Flight of the Concords), is coming out soon and some trepidation is felt as audiences wait for its release this fall. After the mixed reviews of Muppets in Space, and the general dissatisfaction with the Muppets few T.V. appearances over the last decade or so, audiences are looking for a return to the classic Muppet films. Screenwriters, Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Nicholas Stoller, have promised to deliver.

Because the Muppet franchise was bought by Disney in 2004, many fans have been worried that the clean adult humor would be lost in this latest film. However, Segel wants to remain true to the Muppets and in a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, Segel assures his impending audience that he wants to get back to the feel of the original Muppet films. “It harks back to the late ‘70s, early ‘80s. That’s the Muppets we grew up with.” Segel has stated his passion for this project on numerous occasions, and he knows he is not the only one who wants to see a new Muppet movie that is both funny and is in keeping with Jim Henson’s original vision for the Muppet cast.

The Muppets storyline centers on Muppet Theater from The Muppet Show. Money hungry, Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) wants to tear down Muppet Theater so he can make millions off of the oil nestled beneath the building. Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan who just so happens to be a Muppet himself, discovers this fact while vacationing in Los Angeles with his roommate Gary and Gary’s girlfriend Mary. In order to save the theater, they need to raise 10 million dollars, and what better way is there to do that than a telethon fundraiser?  As a part of the telethon, they need to get the cast back together, and so they go on a journey across the country to find the Muppet gang. Most of the original cast is back including Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal, Fozzie, and, of course, Kermit the Frog. The plotline is a familiar one, but Segel wants to bring the old Muppets to a new generation and he is doing this by reforming an old idea into a brand new film, while still trying to keep that same Muppet magic.

As a part of trying to make this film a success, Bret McKenzie, also of The Flight of the Concords, is writing most of the songs that will be featured throughout the course of the movie. As an artist known for his fun and humorous music, this seems like a good choice for the Muppet franchise. Additionally, Segel has written some of the songs, and some older Muppet music is scheduled to be included as well, such as the classic “The Rainbow Connection”.

In keeping with Segel’s vision of creating a Muppet movie similar to the originals, a number of cameos are set for the film. Artists and actors such as Jack Black, Niel Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, Rashida Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, and Danny Trejo are scheduled to be in the film. Bobin was hoping to get Elmo from Sesame Street, but according to Stoller “There’s too much money resting on that guy.” It would have been nice to see a Sesame Street character in the new movie, since the Sesame Street characters appeared in the first three films, but even with the absence of Elmo, there are sure to be numerous funny celebrity appearances.

The question on everyone’s lips is will it be the classic Muppets we all grew up with and love, or will it mirror the failures of recent memory? Only time can tell if this really will be the greatest Muppet movie ever made, or simply another shadow of times past.

Its saves all the versions of documents you are working with. It is an efficient storage technique. The users have more freedom to position windows however they want. When you quit you won’t be ask to save the document. I save exactly the state of how you were working. It brings back exactly how you left it, is a perfect restore. Also, you have a timeline exposing all the different version of your document, and you can easily review any of them.

9. Airdrop

Airdrop is a peer-to-peer WIFI- base network. This will be the easiest way to share anything you want with other Lion users. You open the airdrop application and you can see yourself in a folder and it also shows the people who are using airdrop.

10. Mail

Finally, Mail application comes in a better format and more organized. The design is more optimized. There are full height message windows, and message snippets. A great feature is the Conversation View, which now there is a new conversation view that shows all the messages just the way they were sent and replied.

Apple announced that it is exposing to the market a new device, the iPad 2! On March 25^th it would be launch simultaneously reaching 26 countries, many countries from the European Union, the U.K., Finland, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Hungary, Greece and many more. The company wants to expand its new product around many countries in the world as possible.

Compared to the previous iPad the new design possess lighter and thinner characteristics, and it wants to give its users the ability to have less in their hands, but more at their fingertips. Its producers are amazed by the way they have been able to improve the second iPad version making greater advances, and still having the ability to simplifying it.

It has been completely redesign in such a small period of time. IPad 2 is a 3rd thinner and 15% lighter; it has integrated a 2-side camera with HD resolution. It became more light and comfortable to have it in the hand by reducing one of the surface layers, narrowing the edge corners that the previous iPad had, that made it heavier.

The iPad has a cover, which adapts perfectly and hooks the iPad from its corners throughout a magnetism system, which helps protect the screen, and its material also maintains the screen clean. The cover is very flexible and docile so it allows using it in many ways. The design has the advantages of being more didactic, and simplified but at the same time its functionality increased. There are a lot of new applications, which are introduced into this new iPad, and this creates a closer relationship with a consumer by providing a fun experience. The iPad reacts to what the user is doing. The only thing you need to do I tap it away.

The price for acquiring the iPad 2 outside the United States has not been announced yet. Still the Apple Stores located world widely are not accepting the solicitation of any kind of pre-orders, or providing further details of the iPad 2 characteristics and functionalities. Users can only sing up for getting notifications and additional release details when the tablet is out to the market.
