New York, U.S.A — Sirius XM Radio announced on October 12,that David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, of Crosby, Stills and Nash, will sit down for a rare Q&A session with a select group of SiriusXM listeners at the SiriusXM studios in New York City.

“SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Crosby, Stills and Nash” will air live on Classic Vinyl, channel 26, on Wednesday, October 17 at 2:00 pm ET.

The special is part of SiriusXM’s “Town Hall” series, intimate gatherings with iconic musicians and a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners. Previous “SiriusXM Town Hall” specials have featured Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Coldplay, Ringo Starr, Roger Waters, Renee Fleming, Gregg Allman, Usher, Linkin Park, Ziggy Marley and the surviving members of Nirvana.

Hosted by SiriusXM’s Earle Bailey, the “SiriusXM Town Hall with Crosby, Stills and Nash” will feature each of the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees answering questions from the studio audience of SiriusXM listeners about their legendary career:  from their first-ever concert at Woodstock to the release of CSN 2012, the band’s first live performance video in over two decades.

Crosby, Stills and Nash (CSN) begins the final five shows of their wildly successful 2012 tour at New York City’s Beacon Theatre beginning October 16 and concluding on October 24th with a special presentation of the group performing its first album in its entirety as the second set that night. That show also marks the conclusion of CSN’s extensive 2012 world tour, which comprised more than 80 dates in the U.S.,Australia, New Zealand, and South America.

Sirius XM Radio has announced that five-time Grammy-winning musician, actor, artist, activist and humanitarian Ziggy Marley will host a new monthly show, Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae. The monthly show will launch on Sunday, February 5, the eve of the birthday of his late father, Bob Marley, at 12:00 pm ET on The Joint, channel 42. This first episode features Ziggy speaking in depth with reggae legend Jimmy Cliff.

Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae will feature Marley sharing his unique perspective on music and culture and introducing listeners to his favorite reggae music and sources of inspiration (with some rarities), plucked from his own personal collection.

The show will also include music from the Marley family, including material from Ziggy’s most recent solo studio album, Wild and Free, and throwback selections dating back to his days as a Melody Maker. In addition to Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae will feature other special guests on the monthly show.

“It is my privilege to use this medium to honor the Legends of Reggae and to use it as a vehicle to educate and enlighten listeners,” said Ziggy Marley.

Ziggy Marley’s Legends of Reggae will air the first Saturday of each month at 12:00 pm ET, and will be rebroadcast the next day, Sunday, at 2:00 pm ET. Ziggy Marley was born in 1968 in Trenchtown, Jamaica. Ziggy began his musical career playing with his father, reggae legend Bob Marley, and his siblings Sharon, Cedella and Stephen in 1979.

The siblings became known as Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, and released over 11 albums, three of which were Grammy winners.  Ziggy has released several solo albums since 2003, including: Dragonfly; his Grammy Award-winning Love Is My Religion; Family Time, which won him his fifth career Grammy, but his first in the children’s arena; and the Grammy-nominated Wild and Free.

Always politically aware, Ziggy has also been involved with the United Nations, and has formed his own charity U.R.G.E as well as contributed in various ways to other charities such as Little Kids Rock, Amnesty International. In 2010, Ziggy and his brothers Rohan and Robbie traveled to South Africa to film the documentary Marley Africa Road Trip.

In 2011, the 30-year career of Ziggy Marley continued stronger than ever with the “MarijuanaMan” comic book. Ziggy continues to tour and perform at festivals internationally as well as at his own Legends of Reggae festival in California.

The Joint plays reggae music from its roots to today from artists like Bob Marley & the Wailers, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, Vybz Kartel, Capleton, Dennis Brown, Sizzla, Beres Hammond and Jah Cure. The joint also features Marley Monday, the weekly tribute special to Bob Marley.

Sirius XM Radio recently announced the launch of The Badge with Howard Safir , a provocative, six-week series hosted by the former Police Commissioner of New York City on which he will offer his insight on the drama, heroism and challenges faced by law enforcement officials today. In addition, subscribers will have the opportunity to call in to The Badge and ask everything they ever wanted to know about police officers, criminals and what it takes to keep society safe.

The Badge with Howard Safir will launch on Sunday, January 29 at 11:00 am ET on SiriusXM Stars (channel 107) with special guest former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Safir served as Police Commissioner during Giuliani’s administration for four years and has worked with Giuliani for over four decades on national and international law enforcement matters.

“SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Ringo Starr” will air live on The Spectrum, channel 28, on Monday, January 30at 4:00 pm ET, the day before the release of Starr’s new album, Ringo 2012. The special is part of SiriusXM’s “Town Hall” series, an intimate gathering with an iconic musician and a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners. Previous “SiriusXM Town Hall” specials have featured Bruce Springsteen, the surviving members of Nirvana, Tom Petty and Coldplay.

Sirius XM Radio announced that Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning television and film screenwriter, director and producer Ryan Murphy—the creator of the groundbreaking television shows Glee and American Horror Story—will be profiled and honored through the end of January as the featured subject of the next installment of Iconography, the exclusive series which profiles iconic and influential members and allies of the gay community on SiriusXM’s LGBT channel SiriusXM OutQ.

Murphy’s revealing and compelling Iconography interview offers a deeply personal look into his Irish Catholic upbringing in Indiana, growing up gay in the early 1980s and how he handles success and disappointment.

He also speaks candidly about the early days of Glee: “The executives at [Fox] all loved it, except one who wanted it to crash and burn,” Murphy reveals, adding that when the show reached the end of filming its initial network order of 13 episodes, “…the cast and crew were literally in tears.

We thought that was it. We’ll never work together again. Ultimately, I remember it being an exciting and powerful time, because the thing that nobody ever thought would work, worked.”

Murphy also shares the humorous details of how his longtime partner, David Miller, proposed marriage: “We went to Central Park for a walk on my birthday,” Murphy recalls. “Suddenly, there he was on one knee, with the bench and the ring. It was very emotional. Later, we found out that some of the hardcore sex scenes in the movie Cruising were shot in that area.

It was hilarious.
