The Toonari Post - News, Powered by the People!

Sherman oaks, U.S.A. — On September 4, 2012, Performance Designed Products, manufacturer of the popular Afterglow brand of game controllers and communicators, introduced Rock Candy, a colorful line of sleek new gaming controllers designed to offer gamers maximum control and maximum self-expression at a minimum price.

The Rock Candy line of gaming controllers is designed to deliver comfortable ergonomics, smooth and uncomplicated aesthetics, matchless mechanical reliability and all the essential controller functions without loading the design down with lots of extraneous design flourishes.

The Rock Candy controller for Xbox 360 is Microsoft certified with a standard Xbox 360 controller shape and ergonomics. The Rock Candy controller for PlayStation 3 features an updated design to provide the PS3 gamer with hours of comfortable gaming, and the Rock Candy Gesture Controller for Wii is a wireless remote compatible with Wii MotionPlus, making it the perfect secondary controller for Wii games on either the Wii or Wii U.

However, the line’s bright colors are just the opposite of simple. The variety of colors available will allow gamers to express their individual gaming style without sacrificing ease of play. The initial line launch includes a cool and calculating blue, a naturally talented and elegant green, a fiery passionate red and a wild, free spirited pink with even more colors to come. Color is Expression with the Rock Candy line of gaming controllers.

“Gamers love showing off their personalities not only on the screen, but in the gaming accessories they choose.” said Bill Otte, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing of PDP, “Rock Candy lets gamers display who they are at an economical price without sacrificing exceptional control and reliability.”

Rock Candy controllers will be available this fall at participating retailers and at PDP.com for MSRP $12.99 (Control Stick for Wii), MSRP $17.99 (Gesture Controller for Wii), MSRP $14.99 (Wired Controller for PS3), and MSRP $24.99 (Wired Controller for Xbox 360).
